Jumping into conclusions was something I didn't want to do any longer. I had to be sure she was the lady the cabman had talked about and I had to be systematic with my mode it deduction. Had I been more zealous in seeking knowledge before executing justice, then the guilt of killing an innocent man would not have hunted my heart.
