Chapter 8 - The over protective brother

I glanced at my Rolex watch and time seemed to have fast-forwarded itself. I knew it wasn't good for my plans. If I ever hope to become ace at perfecting my new craft, then precision and accuracy were two elements I could not do without. For a short while I peered deeply at her face and all I could find was the purest form of suffering. A type of suffering that could only have emanated from the depths of guilt in her broken heart. Indeed, she had me just where I wanted_ that point where I could freely donate a broken a soul to the curing embrace of the heavens above. Her head was bent towards the sparsely illuminated floor of the cave and it was tucked in with so much ferocity that an onlooker could have sworn she had been experiencing a revelation from the earth below. It didn't matter to her that the tips of the obsidian blades were lodged into her dermis. Even if it did, she could not feel the pain and even as she bled. She was contended to wade off the bad blood that was fast seething in her veins.

" I do not blame you in total for the misfortunes that engulfed Mehitabel. She was dogged and felt she could carry the world on her own. Only if she had brought family in the picture earlier than she did, then her life would have been saved. It's a price she had to pay for being a lone wolf." Stated Williams and exhaled an ounce of his grief into the chilly atmosphere of the cave.

" She did. Not that she was ever so attached to her father at the annals of his existence but when the old man died she spent many nights crying cause she knew a pillar had been taken off her podium. No one knew why she cried that much for a man who had been suffering for many months. We all talked her into accepting his demise as a succor for both herself and the old man but she would not listen. When many hugs and many comforting words had failed to salvage her from the emblem of grief, we stood back and let time itself heal her. It did_ but in the coming months we began to understand why she had cried so much. Far from a pillar of support she had grown an emotional bond with the old man before he had fallen so sick . She had told him all about her secrets, and even went to the extent of telling him about loosing her virginity to Adonis. we all swore it was the weirdest thing we had ever gained knowledge of in the whole of our existence. All these and many more she could not tell to her brother who she saw as an abnormal human. His overprotectiveness had caused her to loose many friends in past while growing up and made her wary about telling things about her personal life to him. She yearned deeply to have those cordial conversations with him but was totally scared about what his reactions would be. She told us he was mentally unstable but was the most caring person she had ever met in her life. He was too caring and that in itself threatened to ruin her social life as she lived most of her childhood in fear of what her brother would do to her friends if they broke a hair on her head." Said Charlotte and slowly raised her head to gawk at Williams. Her narrations had just brought her to limelight of consciousness and she was now realizing that she may just have spent the last four hours of her life with the over protective brother himself.
