My husband was already in the carriage as I got in I made sure to sit on the far side from him because if I'm completely honest I was kind of afraid he gave off a dark aura that could make anybody shiver out of fright at the sight of him.
The silence was deafening but I didn't mind because it gave me time to take in that I am now a queen and that I am married to a vampire and not just a regular one a very powerful one at that.
As I was looking out the window Ezekiel finally says something that breaks the silence "You know I can hear your thoughts right." "N..No I didn't know that sorry" "I was wondering now that we're married let me know I little bit more about you I only got a brief summary." I wonder what he already knows about me but I guess it wouldn't hurt if I want to actually try and get along with him.
"Well my favorite color is lavender I enjoy going on walks and love adventures oh and don't even get me started on different types of flower peony's are my favorite."
I blushed a little bit after I looked up and found him staring at me with his beautiful green eyes and a very soft smile he brought me back from my train of thought when he asked "why are your flowers peony when there are so many others to choose from."
"Because they are a very pretty flower and their history is fun to learn about" "can you tell me this history behind them" he asked and I was screaming in my head no one had ever asked me about flowers they all thought it was a stupid thing to learn about.
"Yes I'm just going to summarize the story though or else it might take me awhile. The flower was named after a Greek god named Paeon who was a physician to the gods who received this flower and is believed to have healing properties. There are over 40 species of the flower but I like the coral charm ones because it's different than pink, red, white, and purple, it is it's own color there's no other varieties of the corals so they stand out instead of fitting in."
"That's a lot information thank you for sharing with my Evelyn I know it's not going to be easy but I feel like for our country's sake and for us we can make it work" he then grabbed my hand one squeezed it gently I grabbed his too before asking.
"What about you all I knew were rumors and or course your name by my clumsiness" he looked at me for a while thinking about probably what he should tell me until I finally spoke up and said
"how about you start with your favorite colors and what you enjoy to do and what you know a lot about." He then nodded and said "my favorite color is royal blue I also enjoy adventures and looking around my garden while sitting on my porch swing that over looks it and I know a lot about a lot of things besides flowers."
After he said that sentenced I couldn't help but just stare at magnificent features he was absolutely breathtaking I never really took the time to look at his face but now that I have I'm glad I did a had a chiseled jawlines, brown hair that looks so soft it make anyone who looks at wanna run your hands through it, and of corse his beautiful green eyes that are so mesmerizing but you can tell are full of secrets.
I was enjoying the silence and the pleasure of looking at this magnificent husband of mine when our silence was interrupting by a man knocking on the door Ezekiel opened it and the man outside the door let us know that we had arrived at the palace that was to be my new home for forever.
