Pax, Kop and Corey all arrived at Adrianna's house. Located outside Brantford the posh modern designed house with obscenely large windows, nouveaux grey stone house with a pool in the back, and no neighbours near by. You could smell the scent of money in the air, Adrianna came from money. Pax had to remind himself that he was a new person and belonged here at this moment.
They walked into the house looking like players at a club and looked around at the rest of the teens there, dressed in just plain casual clothes. Tommy Hilfiger jeans and tops everywhere. It was official they stuck out like a sore thumb, which made it more obvious when Adrianna came round.
Adrianna bounced over to Pax waving like crazy. "Pax! You made it!" She gave Pax a hug. "I'm so glad you're here." She looked at Corey and Kop. "And you did not disappoint, we never have freshmen as hot as this."
Pax chuckled and blushed a bit and began the introductions. "Adrianna, these are my new friends." First Pax pointed to Kop. "This is Kop, he's from Thailand, he's a lot of fun."
Kop leaned back and put his hands up and made a box with his thumbs and pointer fingers like a director examining a scene. "Damn girl, your look is gorgeous!"
Adrianna smiled "Girl, you know it." She began to strike poses for Kop in her low rise designer grey jean shorts, a sparkly silver halter top and black and white plaid shirt. She walked over and looked at Kop's shiny green and black silk dress shirt. "You got some serious taste in fashion, Kop." Kop gave a little bow to show gratitude.
Pax then gestured to Corey. "This is Corey, he's my roommate and music classmate."
Corey's response was just a small nod to say "what's up?"
Adrianna gasped and walked over to Corey. "Oh my god! Are you Corey Letour? The whole school is talking about your intro performance." Adrianna gave a flirty push to Corey's shoulder. "You're the second person ever in our school to play the piece from beginning to end?"
Corey leaned in, "who was the first?" He asked.
"My brother Marcus." She replied. "He's here tonight too." Adrianna started walking to the kitchen and signalled the boys to follow her. Pax and his friends followed along as they moved and swerved around all the teens standing around talking, drinking and dancing eventually making their way to the kitchen.
Marcie and Gia were hanging out in the kitchen trying to be sexy bar tenders. Trying to live their coyote ugly fantasy. Marcie wearing black leather pants, black crop top tank top and cowboy hat. Gia was paying hommage to Britney spears dressed shiny scale print tights, jungle bikini top and puka shell necklaces.
Pax waved to them to say hi, and introduced them to his friends. As soon as Marcie heard Corey's name she immediately asked. "Guitar boy?" Corey nodded, he was disinterested in the idea of being famous on his first day, but Marcie liked the idea of being the girl who snagged the freshman who set the new record.
Adrianna handed Pax a red cup from the pre filled ones on the counter. "Here have a drink!"
Pax looked at the cup of fuzzy pink drink. "What is it?"
Adrianna hand another cup to Corey. "raspberry vodka sours."
Kop grabbed the drink out of Pax's hand. "Oh you should let me have that." He then stared sternly at Pax. "Since you're allergic to raspberries."
To distract Adrianna from giving him a new drink, Pax decided to ask about the dance they were doing. "So what was that dance routine you guys were practicing on the bleachers?"
Adrianna coyly acted surprised. "Oh that little routine?" She swept her hair back to flirt. "We're doing a dance choreo for my brothers first music video, he has 2 left feet so we have to keep it simple."
Adrianna's flirting with Pax was working, it was a new experience for someone to look at him and not see a rag doll. "I wish I could dance like that." The music Pax plays has life and energy, but you play it stationary unmoving.
Adrianna gave a love tap to Pax's shoulder. "Really? It's not hard to do I can show you." She took a sip of her drink the motioned for her girls come round. "The key to a music video dance, it to make it simple and easy to repeat during the verse so you can go freestyle during the chorus. It's a simple 6 step dance." Adrianna, Gia and Marcie took their positions and Adrianna started to count them down. They showed off the dance routine effortlessly.
Pax was really impressed with how in sync they were. "That was so cool!"
Kop was excited, to see them dance it reminded him of the Thai idol dances he's see everyone do. "Oh, dances like this are super popular in Thailand! Simple movements but when professionally done look amazing."
Pax was loving the energy from Adrianna and Kop. "Can you teach us?"
Adrianna excitedly clapped her hands. "Oh my God yes!" She pulled Pax to the right of her and Kop to the left.
Corey tried to step back and stay out of the lesson, but Marcie was far too interested in him to let him back away. She quickly grabbed his arm and said. "Where do you think you're going?" She put her cowboy hat on his head and stationed him between her and Gia.
Adrianna, started her impromptu dance class. "So the steps are simple, I'll go slow so you can repeat them and then we'll pick up the pace." She began to show to the steps one by one and fix Pax's arm placements, adjust his hips and get him to move his feet to the right place on each step. They laughed at how bad he was at dancing but he was getting the hang of it by attempt number 3. By the time everyone had it down Adrianna needed to show her older brother. She ran out to the back yard by the pool where she knew her brother would be. As expected he was out on the deck chatting up the girls like he was a some rock star. Marcus was 17 and a senior at Brentford, he always wanted to be a famous musician, but was told Latino men weren't an ideal market for North American audiences, but after Ricky Martin swept people off their feet, Marcus wanted to make sure his look and brand made Ricky look like nothing. He was young looking with a million dollar smile, shredded abs, bulging pecks, broad perfectly rounded shoulders and the arms of a professional boxer.
Adrianna shouted to Marcus and he looked over and saw her waiving. He excused himself from the girls he was hitting on and walked over to Adrianna. "What's up?"
She grabbed his arm and started to pull him towards the house. "You got to see this we got some boys to learn the dance for your video." Adrianna dragged him back into the house. As she rejoined her new dance crew she introduced Marco to Pax and Kop. "Guys, this is my brother Marcus. He's a senior at our school and he's already got a record deal lined up." The guys were impressed and Marcus would just nod like the success hadn't actually gone to his head yet. Adrianna grabbed the laptop controlling the music play list and switched the track to her brothers track then ran back to the group line quickly. "Ready?" She waited a beat "Go!"
The crew started performing the dance they just practiced in front of Marcus and everyone else in the party. Marcus had a giant smile seeing that this dance for his song looked great regardless of gender. It made him smile and get hyped. That when the second verse came round he swapped places with Adrianna and started singing the song infront of everyone while doing the dance. Soon everyone in the party were cheering and trying to dance or sing along.
When the song came to an end everyone cheered out loud, Marcus high fived Pax and Kop, gave pecks on the cheek to Gia and Marcie and snagged Marcie's cowboy hat off Corey's head.
After things calmed down, Pax and his friends along with Adrianna her girls and Marcus all gathered around a table in the back yard to talk and get to know each other. The guys were drinking some more of Adrianna's fizzy pink mix and Pax had found some orange juice in the fridge. They laughed at stories Marcus told about his freshman year. Everyone at this point had a few drinks and was feeling effects. It was at this point that Gia had an idea. "Ok guys let's have some fun."
Kop looked at Gia's face and could tell she had a pervy idea in mind. "You want us to play a kissing game don't you."
Pax had never kissed anyone before so he got nervous and took another sip of his orange juice. Corey finished off his drink for his own liquid courage.
Gia smiled a devious grin. "Kind of." She pulled a pack of pocky out of her bag. "It's called the pocky game." She pulled a stick out and before she could explain the rules Kop put 1 end in his mouth and turned to Gia. "It's a game of chicken. First to back away looses. One last twist, last one to touch their nose has to eat from the other end."
Everyone rushed to touch their nose and Marcie was the last one to touch her nose. So she began to eat the pocky stick from the other end. They got so close to touching, but Marcie pulled back and lost the game. Everyone laughed at how awkwardly close they got. Kop pointed to Marcie and giggled. "Sorry hun, but if you lose you can't try again."
Kop grabbed the package of pocky abs passed it to Marcus. He put the pocky stick in his mouth and everyone put a finger on their nose, except Adrianna who got distracted. Marcus pulled the stick out of his mouth in disgust. "Oh come on no, she's my sister."
"Hey." Corey piped up. "It's a game of chicken. Not a who can I make out with game." He stared down Marcus, "if you want to chicken out, just means you lose and are out of the game." Corey had a big smug grin on his face.
Marcus stared Corey down and gave in. "Fine, let's do this." He put the pocky stick back in his mouth and turned to Adrianna.
Adrianna looked at her brother ready to over board in his need to prove how cool he was and just waved her in the air and said. "I'm out. I'm not kissing my brother."
Marcus relaxes and enjoys his victory. "Sweet, I win!"
Corey put his arm around Pax and with a smug smile said. "Congrats on not making out with your sister. The greatest victory a brother could ask for."
Everyone except Marcus laughed at Corey's dig. Before Marcus could think of a retort, Pax reached over and grabbed a Pocky and put it in his mouth. Gia and Kop were the first ones to put their fingers on their noses, Corey didn't realize what happened and then reacted to put his finger on his nose, but it was pointless. Marcus wasn't moving his hands at all instead Marcus just flashed his million dollar smile and leaned in put his pillowy lips on the other end of the stick. The closer Marcus got the faster Pax's heart beat. Then with one quick motion Marcus moved one hand behind Pax's waist and the other behind his head and pulled him in quickly as their lips connected. The sensation overwhelmed Pax, as the whole world faded to black.
