It was a bright sunny morning as the birds tweeted and the squirrels scurried up and down trees. And in between it all lied a big house that rested atop of beautiful and luscious grass.

Anthony! A young girl shouted

Anthony! The young girl shouted again

The boy whose name was Anthony grudgingly got up. What Lily? he replied in a tired voice.

It's time to complete your chores for the day she responded. The girl whose name was Lily was the oldest of the children at the Orphanage. At 13 years old she was fairly tall for her age, with piercing blue eyes and long blonde hair.

Anthony sighed as he put on his clothes, he decided to wear a plain white T-shirt with all black shoes and pants to match. He didn't bother to comb his black hair as he liked it wild and flowing anyway.

He then hurriedly ran out the door to complete his chores for the day.

Good morning Big brother Anthony a kid who looked no older than 4 shouted. Good morning Evan he replied as he ruffled the little boys golden brown hair. Where is your brother, Anthony asked? He is still sleeping I told him to get up because, if he didn't finish his chores he would get in trouble. Anthony sighed, Evans twin brother Eddy was the exact opposite of Evan who was like a little angel, if Evan was an angel Eddy was a little demon always causing trouble.

Well I will do his chores for him then Anthony replied. No big brother shouldn't, it is your fault he's like this because you always let him get away with everything Evan squealed. It's fine I finish my chores early and get bored anyway, come Anthony said finish up your chores. Alright Evan sighed.

Anthony proceeded to complete his chores which was to milk the cows, feed the livestock, and since he decided to do Eddys chores he also had to pick apples from the Apple trees.

Once he was finished it was already nightfall he didn't get to eat lunch so he was ready for supper as his tummy rumbled. Anthony then got down from having picked the last Apple from the tree and went back inside.

After quickly washing up he went down to the dining hall where Lily was serving supper to everyone. Before the children got to eat the Dean of the Orphanage a fat burly man named Mackey reviewed everyone's chores.

The rules at the Orphanage was if you didn't complete your chores you didn't eat. After checking everyone's chores he stopped upon seeing that a young girl named Emma didn't do her share. Hmph! Mackey said you couldn't even complete something as simple as washing the dishes ur a waste of space no food for you.

Lily shouted, but that's not fair! in an angry tone. You know Emma can't do many tasks that require physical activity because of her condition.

Brat know ur place!

A man seated across the table said. He was a nasty old man that was the head chef who was very skinny and lanky he had a big nose, So big no one new how he even breathed. His name was Kenny but everyone called him Mr Lanky because of his figure. Mr Lanky continued rules are rules he replied with a smirk on his face. If she can't complete the tasks it's her fault no exceptions. Lily frowned in a displeased tone but dropped it.

Emma head on to your room to get some rest she said in a calm loving manner. Emma nodded and returned to her room. Alright now that that's out the way let's pray before we eat. The Nun of their orphanage named Mary began praying. All the kids loved her because she was kind and loving to them her pale white skin seemingly glowed and her majestic purple eyes seemed to calm even the most ferocious beast.

After the prayer was finished they ate their meal. Wow this is so delicious the kids said.

As always sister Lily's cooking is as delicious as ever a short kid named Abe replied. Ya your cooking is as good as ever Anthony said with a smile. Everyone knew that Lily was an amazing cook as she had been cooking for them since she was 4. After they finished supper they returned to the room they all shared together to go to sleep.

As Anthony began dreaming of the stars, he was awoke to a child with Blue hair with white streaks in them quietly walking towards were Emma slept, and waking her up and giving her some food he snuck from dinner. The kids name was Kaiden and Anthony didn't expect this from Kaiden as he was usually quiet and kept to himself. And the consequences if he got caught sneaking food in the room was sleeping in the barn with no food for a week! This brought a smile to Anthony's face as he returned to sleep.

The next morning he got up bright and early he was in a good mood because today he got to go to town to due errands since it was the first day of the new month. He brushed his teeth and combed his hair he wanted to look good for any girls he might see in town. He quickly stuffed down the toast and eggs Lily cooked for breakfast.

He slipped on his shoes and headed out the door to meat Mackey to ride into town. Since Kaiden was the second oldest he also tagged along. He hopped in the back of the carriage and sat silently so silent as if he wasn't even there. Mr Mackey smacked the horses butt as to signal it to go as the horses slowly but steadily began trotting into town. It was midday when they finally arrived into town. Mr Mackey parked his carriage just outside of town as he got out.

Alright boys you know what we need to get hears a list I need to go handle some business, and I will meet you boys back here in 2 hours understand? Now go hurry up and don't cause any trouble Mackey said. The two boys went to the first place on the list which was the grocery store. Looking at the list Anthony sighed this is gonna be a long day.

By time they finished everything in the list it was near afternoon. The boys started heading back, on their way back they bumped into a man that was talking on a phone. He looked mysterious with his suitcase and top hat. He was walking with a cane even though he looked to young to need one. The man angrily told the kids to step aside as he pushed past them.

The man didn't notice that a square like puzzle fell out of his pocket when he bumped into them. Anthony picked it up and was calling for the mysterious man but it was to late he was gone. Although Anthony was intrigued by the glow of this seemingly pitch black cube he stuffed it in his pockets as it was time to head back as they were already running late. They headed back to where they first were but Mr Mackey was nowhere insight.

Hours later he finally returned he told them to get inside and they returned home. By time they got back it was late and everyone was sleep. Anthony and Kaiden woke everyone up and handed out candy to the little ones. Wow they tore through the plastic wrapping and ate up all the sugary goodies. They then fell asleep little did they know a pot was brewing one that would change their lives for ever.

In the other room Kenny and Mary asked Mackey with anticipation in their eyes. Did you get it they asked? Of course he responded tonight is the night the plan sets in motion he said with a smile
