Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"Good morning Dada" I greeted my father as I walked into the living room.

Yes, I call him Dada, right from when I was little so it stuck up until now and he's  fine with it.

"Morning Alex "replied, looking away from the papers he was reading. "How was your night?"

"Fine, though it was cut short" I pouted. He eyed me and shook his head in amusement as though he knew what I was thinking (mч lσvє). "Dada, where is Mum?"

"Oh! She's in the kitchen" he answered and continued reading his papers.

"Okay" I turn towards the kitchen but stopped and turned back. "Dada"I called.

"Yes Dear"

"Um, I think I need another alarm clock " I said Sheepishly.

He stared at me as though I just said something outrageous.

"So, What happened to your alarm clock?" He asked not breaking eye contacts with me.

"Um.... You see it broke a while ago" I answered while staring at my shoes (sσ prєttч).

"It just broke huh?" he asked.

I nodded vigorously.

"You didn't do anything to make it break" he eyed me.

"I kinda did" I answered as i fiddle with my bracelet.

" That was your fourth alarm clock this week".

"Yes I know" I looked at him sadly. "I promise this is the last time, I would never vent my anger on the poor alarm clock" I pleaded looking as innocent as I could.

"That's exactly what you said the last time" he said sternly.

Really!! Wow! I need to keep track off the lies I tell.

"This is the last, last time. I won't break it anymore, in fact going to wear a protective gear on the alarm so even if it falls it won't break. No!" I said shaking my head. "I will build a tough bubble house for it, one that will never pop and I'm...." I kept rambling.

"I get it" he stopped my rambling. He chuckled (cαlm dσwn wσmαn).

"So, can I get another alarm please! Please!!! PLEASE!!!!" I pouted.

"Fine" he sighs." But if you break it, no more alarm clock for you young lady, before you put those making alarm clock out of business" he pinched the bridge of his nose.

That's impossible. I can't possibly break that much alarm (вut mч supєr strєngth).

"Thanks Dada" I hugged him. "Have I ever told you how much I love you

"Yes only when you want something" he said.

I gasped.

"Ouch!" Placing my hands on my chest. "Dada that hurts"

He looked at me as though I just developed another head. "Thanks Dada. You are the best of the best".

"I hear that all the time" he said smugly, picking up his papers. I could see the faint smile on his lips. I sat down next to him. "Aren't you looking for your mum?" he asked after talking a sip from his coffee.

Hmm... Delicious.

"I will go in a bit. I just want to keep you company" I eyed his coffee.

He eyed me. " Does it look like I need one?"

I nodded.

"Really?"

I nodded again.

He glanced at me with a calm expression. "What do you want again?"

"Coffee"

"No! Young lady you are to young to drink coffee early in the morning"

"But....."

"No buts. No means No" he snorted.

I had the urge to stomp my feet childishly.

"Morning Dad"

"Morning Daddy"

My siblings greeted as they walked in. We all have different ways of calling our father, my elder brother love to keep it short and calls him 'Dad' while my elder sister calls him 'Daddy' but mine is the best.

"Morning" he answered not his eyes off the newspaper.

Seriously, what's so important about the news that they have to produce newspapers every single day, if it's always the same news over and over and over again. when I become the president I will make a law; one newspaper per week. That would prevent wastage and littering (whαt! í'm єnvírσnmєntαl fríєndlч). But, that's a long and boring road to take and I'm certainly not ready for it.

Something kept poking my side (nσt αgαín!). I need not to look to know who it was, the longer I ignored, the more annoying it got. I turned and glared at the culprit who was no other than -THOMAS ALEC MILLER - my elder brother. He had a stupid smirk on his face and I wanted to smack it off so bad (í'm nσt α víσlєnt pєrsσn).

"What?!" I asked giving him my meanest glare.

He shrugged.

Damn! he was still smirking. Remind me why I haven't killed him yet (nσt α víσlєnt pєrsσn).

I decided to be the bigger person and ignore him but he kept on poking me (αrєn't чσu σld fσr thís). I took a deep breath.

"Poke me one more time and I will snap your fingers PAINFULLY!" I snarled.

"Oh really?" he raise an eyebrow. "I want to see you try" he poked me again. I could feel fumes coming out my ears.

Why does he love pissing me off? (í'm rєαdч tσ kíll). I'm the youngest isn't he supposed to spoil and protect me not annoy the hell out of me.

It's like we are Tom and Jerry but in this case I'm Tom that Jerry loves to annoy.

I turned to my sister who was busy enjoying the show, what's missing was popcorn.

"Aren't you going to say something to him" I asked.

"Nah, i'm good just carry on" She smiled while resting her back on the chair ( whαt α lσvíng sístєr).

I huffed.

"Don't you have work to do?" I turned my attention back to my Jerry of a brother.

"Yes, I'm currently on it"

"Which is?"

"Annoying you" he smug.

Holy mother of God forgive me for I'm about to commit a grave sin

He laughs.

"You should have seen your face" he said in between his laughter "It's like you wanted to kill me" (í díd ín mч mínd), i can't take this anymore.

"MUM!!!!"
