Born from Royalty, it must've been like a fairytale for normal people. But for her, it was a hell like life.
Unable to feel emotion was the very regret that she has been born. Every generation, one royalty will be born with an unusual ability that everyone doesn't know.
Alexandra Nicole Camille Aurelia, a princess that was born with the ability to read people's emotions and feels them at the same time. However, this ability have something in return. Despite the ability she have, she can't feel emotion by herself.
Walking on the hallway where her goal started, she stopped and took a glance on a certain door. It was where for the first time, her heart felt something warm.
"We'll be meeting up soon." She smiled, remembering the warmth that enveloped herself for the first time.
"Princess, the carriage is ready, shall we get going?" Her Lady-In-Waiting asked politely, bowing her head in the presence of her master.
"Hmm." Alexandra nodded and turned around.
Meanwhile, a cold gaze of the man stare right through the paper from Imperial Palace.
"They really won't budge, huh?" He whispered in a cold tone. "They are even willing to send the Princess who was a lot younger."
"Your Grace, another letter have been sent from the Imperial Palace." The butler bent while handing out the envelope.
He took it and opened it.
Duke of Schwagërin,
We will meet in two days. I am hoping to have a warm welcome from the high Duke himself. It will be the first time in 5 years.
Sincerely, Alexandra Nicole Camille Aurelia.
"A first time in 5 years huh...?"
Cedric wasn't sure when he met the Princess and he thought about where and when it was.
"In a ball probably..?" He thought, but then flashed of the past came to him. The crying face of the lady that was lying on the floor looking at him that day. "So, it was that."
"Prepare a room where the princess is going to stay."
The butler looked up to his master with widen eyes. "Pardon?"
"Don't make me repeat myself."
The employee shivers at the cold gaze of his Master.
"W-which room should we prepare?" The butler asked stuttering.
"The fourth room at the second floor."
"The master have not acknoledge any of the marriage candidate these past few years, so why?" The butler thought.
"I understand, Your Grace." The butler answered and then came out of the office.
The butler went to the maid quarters and saw some maids resting.
"Those who are right here, prepare the fourth room at the second floor. It was an order from His Grace." The butler said.
"The fourth room? Why is that?" A maid asked.
"The Princess is coming to the state and she will be welcomed the day she arrives."
"The Princess?"
"Is she another candidate for His Grace?"
"Seriously?"
"I heard she was quite a beauty."
"Stop the talk and proceed to work. Make it extravagant as possible." The butler ordered.
"We understand." The maids bow and went to get the tools they needed on cleaning.
"What's the commotion?" Their eyes turn to the lady who has reddish hair and purple eyes.
"Lady Irish, the Princess from the Imperial family is coming to the state." The butler said politely.
"The Princess...? Alexandra Aurelia?" Her cold gaze meet the eyes of the employees. "Another one?"
"I- I think so, My Lady."
"And Father didn't just object but even willing to let her stay?!" She's angry. Her eyes rage in anger as she gritted her teeth.
Irish Amethyst Schwagërin, the daughter the former lady left. Irish immediately went to see her father. Barging into the office without notice.
"Father!" She shouted.
Two purple cold eyes met each other without looking away. The two are irritated with each other.
"What is it?" Cedric asked not looking away from her daughter.
"Have you make up your mind now?! Are you really marrying another Lady?!" Irish exclaimed without fear.
"I'm not marrying anyone. She's a guest from the Imperial Palace." Cedric answered calmly.
"And what business does she have here?! Father, I am not accepting anyone as a replacement of mother!"
"Your words are not the Law, Irish. Whatever business she have here is not your concern."
"It is! I am a daughter of the Duke!" She was very determined of her words of choice.
A small curve form on the man's lips.
"Then, make her leave the day she arrive. If you can do that." It was a challenge from her father himself. "But she's a very extraordinary lady. Not just anyone. She is respected in the high society."
"That doesn't matter to me." The red-head smirked and walked out of the room.
"I wonder if she reallt can." Cedric said looking at the door where her daughter walked out. "She looked like her mother yet her attitude sure is mine." He smiled.
She might be neglected by him and doesn't show the slightest respect on him but she grew up as a fighter who doesn't show any weaknesses.
And so the day of Alexandra arriving came.
"This is how far the carriage gets, My Lady." The guard said stopping the carriage by the gate.
She went out of the carriage and saw how far the mansion was.
'They are making me walk that far.' She said in the back of her mind.
She shows a smile. "I understand."
"My Lady?" Her Lady-In-Waiting called in disbeleif.
"Hmm?" She turn to look. "What's the matter?"
"A-Are you serious, My Lady?" The lady asked.
"It must be their policy to really walk that far." Alexandra eyed the knight who stopped them who then looked the other way. "Let's go, Maria."
Maria, Alexandra's Lady-in-waiting, took an umbrella and caught up to her Lady.
"The weather is hot, My Lady." She said in worry.
Alexandra looked onto her maid and felt the worriness of her. She smiled once again and hold onto her lady-in-waiting.
"You don't have to worry about anything." She said, comforting the maid who then felt a little relieved.
Alexandra grew up not knowing emotions but she studies about them. She does things that can make people feel them and so she can. Everything feels new to her at every emotion she encounters. But the warmth she felt that day remains mystery to her.
When they arrived in front of the mansion, they were almost out of breath. Alexandra had the hardest time of breathing but she remained composed to have a great first impression.
Her Lady-In-Waiting wiped the sweat on forehead. Alexandra was grateful to have her as a maid.
The door of the Mansion opened and the maids was lined up. Up the staircase was a Lady with red hair.
"That must be the daughter of the Duke." She thought. "Our age is not far apart from each other. If I am not mistaken, she's seventeen."
"We greet the Princess of the Empire." The maids said in unison while bending their body.
Alexandra was only looking up the staircase where Irish was. Irish was looking at her without batting an eye or paying any respect.
But then Alexandra's tears naturally fell from her eyes that made everyone startled and panicked. Even Irish who was supposedly cold and intimidating dropped her act.
"M-my Lady!" Maria called in a panicked and gave her lady a handkerchief.
"Ah." Alexandra wiped her tears away and smiled at the people in front of her. "I apologize. I greet the lady of the house, My name is Alexandra Nicole Camille Aurelia." She bows a little and then raised her head.
"I-I greet the Princess of the Empire. Welcome to the Duke's state." Irish stumbled and then gritted her teeth while she curtsy.
"I messed it up!" Irish cursed in her mind. "Crying like she was a victim. Is this how she will act while staying? I need to drive you away."
