After a few failed attempts to break the door knob, I angrily kicked on the door. However, the door opened at the same time, and I almost ended up breaking my nose bridge.
"Who on the earth are you to lock me, you jerk?" I asked angrily, falling to the ground.
"For being an empress, you certainly own quite a foul mouth, My Lady," the man who entered said.
"I heard that before," I said calmly, recognizing the familiar voice.
I turned to come face to face with the ancient Lord's butler, Arendt. The man was in his usual black suit, with the world's fakest smile imprinted on his face.
"Do all the butlers radiate the same cheeky bastard energy?'' I murmured.
"I heard that, My Lady," Arendt said calmly. The smile did not fade a bit.
"Nevermind, I just remembered someone similar to you," I said. Cassius really never returned after that night. I wondered what could have happened to him.
