Incredibly challenging.
That is how Albert would describe deciding what goes in the new expansions. One place was perfect for Placing dangerous slimes but inevitably had few spaces, the other was terrible for dangerous slimes, most likely useful for safe but hard to contain slimes, it had more space than the former yet was the same size.
But he had a solution, asking others. You may not know this but over the past few days while he stockpiled plorts for daily consumption he occasionally got requests from the range exchange, the first from around man named Ogden Ortiz and the others from Thora and a scientist named Viktor Humphries. He had gotten their starmail address and could message them.
"Hey, Ogden can I ask for some advice? It is related to the new ranch expansions I bought. I don't know how to use their space."-Albert
"Kid, use them for daily conveniences, like rad slimes to power a generator, or a few tangle slimes to make fertilizer for your gardens. Speaking of which have I told you about my new kookadoba recipe?"-Ogden
"Hm no you have not, but is it related to a cake? I made a recipe for kookadoba cheesecake using the sap from the Moss Blanket flowers and trees."-Albert
"Seriously?! I made a Kookadoba recipe for a shortcake! You beat me to it!"-Ogden
Having obtained a new food to test out he went to the Range exchange only to see there was a new name on the requests list. Mochi Miles.
"Hi Loser get me these pronto, whatever that means"-Mochi
Not even happy hello? What is she? A Diva or something?
Nonetheless, her request was not hard. Four hunter plorts, two boom plorts, and another 5 honey plorts.
He had all of those in his stockpile though the boom plorts weren't many he gave her what she needed, and what she gave in exchange were 750 newbucks and a quantum plort.
"Damn you were fast I might need to order from you more often"-Mochi
"Thanks- and she hung up on me"-Albert
What does that matter though? He now had a quantum plort and more money. Lately, he required more money as he saved up for the lab. This was one of the last things he needed but he spent most of the money from his profits on getting upgrades for himself and the rest was stashed away for an emergency.
That girl, Mochi miles, she was quite generous, she even gave him a quantum plort. This was something he was sure to keep stashed far away, after all, it was quite valuable and it was the only quantum plort he had. To study its properties he opened the slimepedia
Quantum Slime:
Slimeology:
Quantum Slimes appear to have resulted from some sort of event that took place in the Ancient Ruins long ago. At all times, the quantum slime is capable of emitting other possible realities of their being. Called 'ghosts', these other realities can come true, with the quantum slime aligning with the reality of the ghost, effectively teleporting.
Rancher Risks:
Quantum Slimes can be one of the most difficult slimes to manage, given their unique abilities. A rancher needs to learn to detect when quantum slimes are primed to take over the reality of a ghost, and act quickly, such as feeding them or splashing them with fresh water as a temporary measure.
Plortonomics:
Quantum plorts are believed by many to hold the secret to infinite resources. Given the quantum slime's ability to change reality, it's theorized that unlocking the potential of quantum plorts would allow for a technology that converges the realities of other entities into our reality and- well basically we're talking about cloning stuff. Infinite energy, chickens, whatever. Probably no harmful side effects to this at all.
---
Those plorts are insane, possible infinite energy or mass that is incredible! Maybe on a plate, it will taste even greater.
He took himself to the kitchen to whip up a fine dinner for himself, he was quite hungry you see? Nugget followed close behind sticking to him like a duckling to its mother.
Today he would prepare a nice Chicken carbonara pasta.
He took some pink flour (From pink plorts) and placed it on the counter. He made it into a small pile and made a large hole in the center. He then placed briar hen eggs, Rock plort salt, and oil made from the various vegetables he found around the Far, Far Range, simply put, vegetable oil.
He then burst the yolk with a fork and added the flour slowly into the eggs and dry ingredients and mixed until a dough started to form. Slowly but surely his pasta dough was ready, he then kneaded it into a ball and covered it with a towel, and let it rest for half an hour.
During that time he made the sauce after placing the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat along with the shredded chicken and garlic which was grown on Ogden's Ranch and was sent over by him as a reward for one of his requests.
He then mixed two eggs and two yolks with cream and cheese made from the sap in the moss blanket, and afterward, he turned off the pan and placed both parts of the sauce in a bowl, and placed it aside.
The pasta dough was done resting by then, he took the dough and flattened it with his rolling pin as much as he could before folding it and flattening it again, he repeated this several times until he grabbed a knife and sliced it into thin strips.
He turned on a pot and made the water inside it boil until salting it and placing the pasta in for a minute. It came out looking great and he drained the pot of water and mixed the sauce with the pasta.
Voila, Chicken Carbonara Pasta made from the ranch!
He dug in and a few minutes later the plate was cleaned and our protagonist was laying on the couch sucking on an ice pop he made from freezing pogofruit juice.

Who should we ship with our main character? I'm thinking a lot about maybe a princess or maybe a certain character who was introduced in this chapter. My problem is whether their character matches with his nature.
