CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED THREE
"Mou Li, I know how to cure your poison." Feifei decided to go straight to the point.
In a flash, Mou Li's tender face became an unforgiving, aggressive killer.
He quickly turned at Feifei with wild eyes.
But Feifei remained composed and unconcerned. He even met those wild eyes with calmness and serenity.
"It's your choice whether to take this chance or let this pass. I will not force you to do anything you don't want. I won't ask anything either."
Feifei placed a parcel on Mou Li's bed.
"There are fourteen packets of powder inside. You need to take this once in the morning and once at night. This powder is for body nourishment and vitality renewal. The you right now won't be able to handle the cure's potency. From the inside out, we need to fortify the entire you."
Silence.
"You need to take this for one month. The second month, I will have you transferred to a single accommodation. By then, I will have to give you a medicated bath."
Silence.
"Everyday, I will give you a medicated tonic. Its also inside that parcel. It is equivalent to three cups. You can slowly drink it at whatever time you want. But don't drink it at one go. You will end up relieving yourself. We don't want that effect. We want the tonic to wash the impurities from your body. Not flush the tonic directly to the latrine."
Mou Li chuckled for the first time.
Feifei stared at Mou Li's face and sighed with regret.
Mou Li tilted his head in question.
Feifei smiled.
"I'm thinking it's such a waste. Your handsome face will have an ugly scar."
Mou Li stared hard at Feifei.
For the first time, hearing the compliment doesn't make him feel disgusted and dirty.
The unadulterated praise is devoid of any sexual innuendo. Which makes his tensed body relax.
Miss Chu is really something.
"Why do this?" Mou Li asked. His voice thick with emotion.
"For selfish reasons."
Feifei stood up and gently smiled at Mou Li.
"I wish that someday when I need help, someone out there could also lend me a hand the way I lent you mine."
Feifei then turned and left.

When Feifei walked away from the infirmary, he asked a military soldier, who is stationed at the entrance, to step aside for a minute.
"Can I ask you to report to me the whereabouts of the infirmary nurse? If it's inconvenient for you, can you ask someone who can provide me with the answers I need?" Feifei asked politely.
The soldier frowned in thought.
"The infirmary nurse went out. As for her exact whereabouts, I don't know. How about I send someone to report to you in a moment?"
The soldier scratched his head in embarrassment.
"You see, Miss Chu, it's inconvenient for me to leave my post. My partner is currently roving the areas upstairs."
"I apologize. It's my thoughtlessness. If you could please ask someone to come to my workstation and provide to me the information I need, I would greatly appreciate it."
"Of course! No worries, I will look for someone who will definitely check the information for you."
"Thank you so much. I'm sorry to have bothered you."
The soldier waved his arms frantically. His face red.
"No. No. It's no bother, Miss Chu."
Feifei smiled.
"Thank you for your hard work." Feifei smiled to the soldier.
He walked a couple of steps away then turned over his shoulder to look at the small hospital building.
This building has two floors.
As far as he knows, the ground floor is used as the storage room for herbs and medical supplies as well as an infirmary with a couple of beds.
The second floor is where the severely injured and critical patients are housed.
Feifei heard, the doctors and nurses also have their private rooms on the second floor too.
There are only a total of two doctors and five nurses. Four nurses are stationed at the second floor and one for the ground floor.
And behind this building is where the incinerator is located. It's where the dead bodies are disposed of.
Its painful to think that these prisoner's demise will always be left unsaid and never explained.
Those dead bodies doesn't even have someone to mourn their death. They are just another X-out from the long lists of captives.
Feifei sighed as he turned around and continued to walk towards his own building.
He feels down thinking about the countless deaths that occurred in this mine.
Feifei thinks, the saddest thing in life is to be forgotten like he never existed.
