Artemis’ POV
I return three days later to Beck’s pack and by then, I notice that there is a big commotion happening.
“What's going on?” I ask Ben as I see him in the crowd moving furniture and fixing things.
“Can't you tell? It's a party!” he exclaims with amusement.
“A party? Why?” I ask, amused by his expression.
“Well, because they deserve to enjoy being alive,” he answers with a sigh as if in love, and then he throws confetti in my hair. “Today is the birthday of one of our pack members, and Beck always celebrates these things to the fullest. Nobody will be sleeping today!”
“I understand,” I reply with a laugh.
Without a doubt, things are very different between the two packs. The stoic formality that characterizes the Red Moon is not present in the air of this urban building.
I leave my things in my room and start to help with the preparations. A few hours later, I feel a shiver run down my back, and when I turn around I see Beck, who is entering the room.
