Artemis' POV
With the scent of rain following my footsteps, I once again enter the wooden corridors leading to Baltazar's studio.
In London, the mild weather and constant rain become part of the natural essence of the city, but in Baltazar's home that scent is reinforced by the polished wood of the walls and floors.
I find that my meeting with Baltazar does not unsettle me, but I do find it unpleasant.
It has taken me a little over two hours to return to the pack, dressed impeccably in a black suit with red tie, a distinctive symbol of Baltazar’s pack. I have said goodbye to the comfortable garments that add color to my days in the Silver Moon pack.
"I see you're back," Baltazar says as soon as I enter the studio unannounced, just as I have always done.
This time, Amanita, his Luna, is present. She looks at me with suspicion and waits for the news I have to tell.
"Please, Artemis, have a seat," Baltazar invites me.
