"Haunted?"
Su Qing frowned. She didn't believe in ghosts and gods. Someone must be playing tricks. They didn't want someone to buy the Su residence.
"Yeah, the neighbors are scared away. People are shouting every night."
The waiter bared his teeth and hugged his arm, looking frightened.
"That Master Su is wealthy."
Su Qing changed the topic to the Su family's property. The waiter became excited again.
"Isn't that so? I heard that the bailiffs who raided the houses each obtained one or two treasures. They could feed and drink their entire family for a few years if they sold them."
The shop assistant looked envious. Su Qing glanced at him and said,
"You're an old friend of the cloth shop. Didn't Second Master Su treat you well in the past?"
"He's good, but who asked him to violate the law?"
