Ma Ming clapped his hands, "Little Taotie is really smart! Awesome!"
"Hee hee!" The little girl blushed, pursed her lips trying to hold back a laugh, but still sneakily let out a giggle, her eyes curving into crescents and her dimples deepening, sweet and adorable.
Ma Ming erased the bus, and wrote on the whiteboard:
1 (only) + 1 (only) = 1 (pair)
3 (days) + 4 (days) = 1 (week)
4 () + 9 () = 1 ()
5 (months) + 7 (months) = 1 (year)
After writing, Ma Ming read the problem aloud, in case they couldn't understand it.
He pointed to the blank parentheses, and asked, "What do you think should be filled in here?"
The two children fell into thought.
Tao Bin, who was peeking through the doorway, was completely out of sorts, looking doubtfully at his brother beside him. He asked, "Is this a problem for an elementary school entrance exam?"
Tao Shen nodded.
Tao Bin's eyes widened, filled with disbelief and incredulity.
