Tao Ti had finished a day of shooting. She was supposed to stay in the cabin, but her agent and the director called to say there was an emergency and they needed to take her away, promising to bring her back early the next morning.
Tao Ti got into the nanny van, with Chen Bin driving personally. The ride was very silent.
Returning to the company, Tao Ti wanted to go back to the dorm to sleep as she was very tired, but Chen Bin stopped her, "Your performance today was lacking. You need special training, follow me."
Tao Ti, too weary to open her eyes, said, "I'm so tired. I just want to sleep..."
"Don't you want to earn money to save your grandfather?"
Upon hearing this, Tao Ti struggled to nod, "I'll follow you!"
Tao Ti had never been to the company's tenth floor before, which required a key card to access. She tilted her head, looking at Chen Bin, "Why do we need to come here? Is the hallway's light broken? Why isn't it on?"
The hallway was long and dark, its end invisible.
Chen Bin knew that there was only one room at the end of the hallway, which the upper levels referred to as "Little Black Room."
This place was a child's nightmare.
"Keep up," Chen Bin's voice sounded eerie.
With hesitant steps, Tao Ti saw clusters of shadows drifting through the hallway.
Suddenly, one shadow approached her and morphed into the form of a small child, scaring Tao Ti into screaming.
Chen Bin frowned, "What are you screaming for? Hurry up and follow!"
The child, naked, bruised, and face swollen, shook its head vigorously and blocked Tao Ti's path with outstretched hands.
Unable to speak, the child could only shake its head and wave its arms, signaling Tao Ti not to go forward.
"What are you standing around for?" Chen Bin approached with large strides.
Tao Ti saw how the clusters of shadows surrounded Chen Bin, gradually becoming distinct, turning into children furiously pounding and biting at him, but their fists went right through Chen Bin's body and did not actually injure him in the slightest.
Realizing the danger, Tao Ti turned to run, but Chen Bin quickly stepped forward and hoisted her up.
"Put me down!"
"Shut up!"
"Let me go, you villain!"
"Heh, the bad one isn't me; you've yet to see the worse ones."
Carrying the struggling Tao Ti, Chen Bin walked towards a room at the end of the hallway. Tao Ti saw the children block the path, trying to stop Chen Bin or attempting to reach out to save her.
But Chen Bin moved right through them, and their hands aiming to save her passed right through her body as well.
She saw those children crying helplessly, a fury building inside her—Tao Ti wanted to erupt!
With a roar, Tao Ti clenched her fists and heavily pounded on Chen Bin's back.
Chen Bin didn't consider the strength of a child significant, but an unexpected heavy blow almost made him spit blood!
Tao Ti kicked and punched wildly.
Each foot and fist landed heavily on Chen Bin, and this time he truly spit blood!
With a spit of blood, Chen Bin could no longer steady himself and fell to his knees. The hands that had been holding Tao Ti also let go.
After freeing herself, Tao Ti ran off quickly, only to bump into someone.
The man was so large, he resembled a wall of flesh.
Tao Ti took several steps back and looked up to see a man with a thick face smiling at her.
The smile was greasy and lecherous.
"Little Cutie, where are you thinking of running to? Come play with uncle in the Little Black Room! There's lots and lots of fun toys there!"
He had been waiting in the Little Black Room for a long time, not seeing anyone arrive until he heard the child's scream and knew they were coming, so he came out to meet them, only to see Chen Bin being beaten by children to the point of vomiting blood.
"You're too weak. Go back and take care of yourself. I'll take the child," he said, reaching out to grab Tao Ti.
Tao Ti dodged, retreating continuously. She saw that the same children who had been biting and beating Chen Bin now attacked the fat man.
Chen Bin wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, unable to stand, suspecting he had been internally injured from the fierce beating by this superhuman girl.
"That kid's a bit odd. Help me up," he said.
"What do you mean, odd? You are just weak!" The man did not help Chen Bin but reached out again to grasp Tao Ti.
