I feel like I am coming up for a breath of fresh air.
"What made you change your mind?" I cannot help asking. The way she was talking was as if the whole treatment and the subject was not up for discussion.
"You." She replies and I can see her eyes water. "You made me want to fight for my life a little longer. You are so youthful and you remind me of myself so much it's uncanny. I found myself wanting to accomplish more, living and enjoying life a while longer," she replies.
"I am happy I was able to help you change your mind," I say and hug her tightly.
"You really don't see it," she says as she cradles my cheek. I tilt my head in question.
"What do you mean?" I ask her.
"You move around with much confidence and surety. You are a woman who knows what she wants and is willing to do anything to reach the goal," she explains. What she says and how she describes me doesn't seem right.
