The lawyer reads a will I have already read and even discusses it with Madame.
She is covering her tracks like she had promised me, in all ways. Nothing has changed from the will, I know it by heart and that's what is being read in this room.
There are other three lawyers present as witnesses, as well as one of the men I first met when I was being handed over the empire.
Other than that, there is no one else.
I am ready to be done with this all when the lawyer goes on and speaks more.
"She also noted that she didn't want a funeral or a big celebration. She didn't know anyone on a personal level other than Hannah Montero and as such, wishes to be cremated and her ashes to be spread along the ocean."
I didn't know that last part. My heart crumbles again and I bite my lip, looking at my clasped hands on my lap.
She wanted me to see her through till the very last part of her, alone.
