"You are the one person I trusted who would do this for me, I knew I could count on you," she insists and I stand up, frustrated and my heart beating hard against my chest.
She is unbelievable. I can't imagine she asked me to do this. I don't know whether I should be angry or sad, all the emotions boiling inside of me.
"How could you ask me to do this?" it comes out in a whisper.
She looks me dead in the eyes. "Because you have the guts to do it, and I know you. I know that I can trust you and least of all, you would understand where I am coming from."
"You are not asking me to have a tea party with you, you're asking me to help you end your life," I fall on the chair, my legs weak, not able to stand anymore. "I already can't deal with the thought of you gone and now you tell me I have to be the one to end your life?"
