"How's it going, sister?" Pearl went to keep Ariel entertained after Vick left, she observed how uninterested she was by the conversation some group of people came talking to her about. Ariel had to excuse herself from there to hang around another corner all alone where feets weren't moving around much.
"How's what going?" Ariel doesn't really understand Pearl's question. Even if she does, there's nothing going on here for her the moment Megan ruined her mood by being the one to choose a date for her mating ceremony with Vick.
