I drove straight to Mr. Everett's company, the moment I left Beatrice's place. I even saw Jayde on her way to her house. And I doubt she saw me.
I want to see Mr. Everett at work because he's the major cause of all this. He and my father are. If they hadn't wanted to seal their friendship with this marriage. Everyone would have been happy.
Well, it's all ok. I will tell him I want a divorce and his daughter initiated it.
I was ushered in immediately, as pertaining I'm his son-in-law.
"Hi Henry," Everett greets and gestures to the chair opposite him.
I smile and sit, "How is everything?"
He smiles, "Great. Why are you here?" He's focusing on some documents on the table. What he was doing when I walked in.
I cross my leg and stare at him for a while, "I'm here because of Hattie."
He looks up, "Did something happen?"
