Chapter 90: Where were you when I needed you?
Emily's POV
"A penny for your thoughts' ' Anton's voice brought me back to the present.
"Sorry…I was lost in my own head for a minute"
"Can I say something?" Anton asked and I nodded.
"You don't have to marry some child prince from a faraway kingdom. You could stay here in castaway…as my wife"
I wondered whether I should tell him that Waylen was about the only good thing left in my life. I could tell him it didn't matter what I wanted, I already lost him. We could have stood a chance without the babies Owen put in me but now?
Now, all I have now is a few months before my baby bump becomes impossible to hide and I lose Waylen forever and there was also the possibility of Zuri murdering me when he finds out.
"I don't want to be your wife, Anton"
Anton stopped walking, I don't think he was accustomed to people rejecting his benevolence and it wasn't a feeling he cherished.
