Chapter 66: Wet....and bounds
Owen's POV
I was breathless….like literally out of breath.
I was trying to breathe properly when I noticed her eyes were closed.
At first, she was unconscious but after a few slaps on the face, she slowly opened her eyes and coughed up water.
"Oh my God! I am alive"
"Not for long" I told her "if you lost the car keys, I will throw you back into the river" I glued my eyes on her.
It was not a joke. I was dead serious.
"You…are n-not serious" Odessa narrowed her eyes like I was making the funniest joke of the century.
I picked her up even though my lungs felt like it was lined with corrosive pebbles and I started walking towards the river.
"Owen! Owen!" She yelled and slapped my back repeatedly as I moved even closer.
I didn't stop until I heard a jingle.
"I still have your keys, psycho!" She yelled and struggled to be free.
I took a breath of relief.
