Chapter 46: Ophelia and Odessa, sisters of blood
Emily POV
The receptionist stared at me like she could see beyond my physical to my very essence.
Can she tell I lied about my name? I heard that there are human lie detectors in the world and truth be told I wouldn't really be surprised if I bumped it one. It was just my luck.
"I need a last name" the receptionist told me.
"Purity?" I blurted out again.
"Chastity Purity?" The receptionist asked me and I blinked. She can't tell that I was lying, can she?
"Yes. It's awful name, I know"
She pointed me to a seat and I sat down beside a young girl a few years older who was staring into empty space.
For a while we sat in silence. Each girl played with their thumbs like it was an invisible puzzle we were trying to figure out. She couldn't be a or two years older than me and she was pretty…really pretty.
