Kaley's Pov
I stood before Noah, my heart racing like a wild animal. I felt small and vulnerable, like a fragile leaf trembling in a storm. My eyes fell on my feet, unable to hold his piercing gaze. My voice was barely a whisper when I spoke.
"Noah...please...help me."
My words felt like a surrender, an admission of weakness.
Alpha's don't ask for help...but I did.
My pride recoiled, my wolf protested the submission. But my desperation pushed me forward, forcing me to swallow my fear and my pride.
Katy's disappearance forced me to do that...I would rather be the Alpha that asked for help than a Alpha with a dead sister.
Noah's presence loomed large, his Alpha energy commanding and intimidating. Yet, his eyes softened, his expression gentled as he looked at me.
"Kaley, what's wrong? What happened?"
