Emily's POV
My eyes fluttered open against my wish. I was having one of those dreams again. Those dreams where everything is lifeless and colorless, where the sky is devoid of stars or sun…those dreams where I spent hours staring at nothing yet I was reluctant to wake up because anything was better than my reality and also because in my dream there was a possibility…a possibility that I float like I had no care in the world, which couldn't be further from the truth.
I would choose this lifeless dream over reality.
Ding-dong! Ding-dong! Ding-dong!
I stared at the cause of my annoyance like the table clock was an Alien technology sent to destroy my life.
8:30am.
I knew I had a million and one things to do, one of them was getting the twins ready for school.
