Watching the girl I love try to put her pain in a bottle for my sake was…absolutely difficult to watch and something in me mellowed and softened and I swear to God, I loved her more in that very moment.
I wondered when Emily was going to realize that if it came to me or her…I would choose her in a heartbeat.
If it came down to seeing her in pain or being in pain myself, I would choose pain and everything in between just for a glimpse of her smile.
I moved closer and sat on the wet floor with her and I allowed the shower to drench me even though I was fully clothed.
"I am here, Emily. Let it out, sweetheart" I tried to console her. I wished I could wave a wand and make everything okay for her.
