Chapter 142: Odessa and the boy she loves
Odessa's POV
Owen took care of me like a father caring for a sick child. He wiped the sweat from my face and lifted the cup close to my mouth to take a sip of water.
I coughed slightly as the water went down the wrong pipe. I sat upright and rested my back on the soft pillow. But everything ached and everything felt Injured. I coughed one more.
"You don't have to take care of me, Owen" I complained lightly. I was grateful to see a familiar face. It was better than having strangers tend to me like I was a bothersome duty they had to perform.
"My father seems to think that since I saved your life and brought you to Black silver that you are my responsibility. I long to tell him that I want to take you back to that lake and drown you myself"
I chuckled and so did he.
"I am sure you do"
