"So, Emily…where have you been? Where are your children? Have you told their real father about them? I mean, you were a bastard yourself, we wouldn't want those adorable babies to be Basta…"
She hardly finished talking when the glass cup I was holding shattered…I must have pressed too hard.
Cassie jumped but I simply leaned back and stared at her.
Number one rule I have learnt as a royal - keep your opponent on edge while revealing no emotion.
"You were saying?" I asked her with a smile.
Cassie looked on edge like she was suddenly confronted with the part of me she didn't like. Who could blame? Majority of the time she was with me, I had been a sweet black haired boy who doted on her right until the very end…and the end being when she married my father.
I tried to keep the anger surging through me locked away in a cage and I succeeded but only barely.
