Riiiiing! Riiiiiiing!! Riiiiiiiiiing!!!
An ignored alarm clock rang out loud to alert its owner. This was its fifth attempt this morning. Lisa was running late for school!
Riiiiing! Riiiiiiing!! Riiiiiiiiiing!!!
Again, the alarm's cry for attention failed miserably. It automatically snoozed for another 5 minutes.
Lisa didn't seem to care.
She stared at the beautiful scenery right outside her bedroom window, smiling like a lovestruck fool.
It was spring.
The flowers were blooming.
The birds were chirping.
The colours were brighter.
The days, sweeter.
And the nights, more romantic.
Love was in the air!
And of course, as a hopeless romantic, Lisa was taken with it all.
Her head rested on her interlaced fingers on the window seal as she daydreamed of her love, James.
Her perfectly handsome, super gentle, super smart, super talented James.
Her heart fluttered as she thought of him.
She was still in her sexy nightdress. It wasn't supposed to be so sexy, but she was just too attractive. It didn't matter what she wore.
Her spotless skin glowed in the morning light.
Her emerald green eyes sparkled like a thousand diamonds.
Her luscious pink lips made her look unreal.
Her delicious curves bounced distractingly with every slight movement under the silk fabric of the nightdress.
Her long silky red hair cascaded down her enticing frame.
At 23, Lisa was a flawless natural beauty.
"Haa... James...", she whispered with dreamy eyes. Her full eyelashes fluttered gently like a dove's wings in slow motion as she daydreamed of their fiery makeout session in the car last night.
She could still feel his trail of hot kisses on the back of her neck. She could still hear his irresistible voice whisper in her ears reassuringly as he embraced her deeply. He had declared his undying love once more.
Her fiance...
How lucky she was to be in love with her betrothed.
She had loved him right from their childhood and he loved her too! How wonderful!
She silently prayed that his popstar audition would be a huge success. The results would be out today.
...
Suddenly, the snoozed alarm went off again.
Lisa looked at the noisy alarm clock with annoyance. Then she noticed the time.
"7:21!? Sh*t! I'm gonna be late for class!", she exclaimed, racing to the bathroom.
"So 39 minutes to go! Heck, I can make it", she smiled at her reflection in the mirror briefly before rushing through her entire morning routine at the speed of light.

7:41 am
Lisa was racing down the stairs in a black turtle-neck body hug crop top, leather wet-looks combat trousers and a pair of high heeled boots. It was the quickest outfit she could find.
"Good. You're ready. Come have some breakfast dear.", a gentle voice called from the kitchen.
"I'm late, Mom! I gotta go! I'll have brunch at school! Love you! Bye!", Lisa called back at her mom, rushing to the door.
The drive to school normally took 30minutes, but she hoped to make it in 8.
Grabbing her leather jacket on her way out, she stopped for a moment when she spotted the news headline on the living room television.
"MUSIC PRODIGY JAMES LEEROY SIGNS WITH STAR ENTERTAINMENT!"
Lisa squealed with excitement.
She celebrated in the living room like someone who just won the lottery.
"Mom! Mom! Come hear this! James made it!", she called out, turning the volume up.
"What?!", her excited mom rushed out to the living room, still holding unto a mixing bowl and a whisk.
She read the headlines.
"Wow! This is awesome news! I know how hard you both worked on this... All those late nights. This is great!", she commented.
"Yeah! I know! Eeee!", Lisa squealed again, hopping like a rabbit.
The newscaster on Tv was interviewing the CEO of Star Entertainment:
"So out of 1,000 candidates that auditioned to be Star Entertainment's latest Pop-star, you picked James. What made him stand out to you?", she asked.
"Originality. The song he performed was absolutely spectacular. It moved the entire panel. He might need a little work in the dance department, but that's what training is for isn't it? And we have the best training facilities for young artists. His overall performance was the best amongst the candidates. With his original song that good, we just couldn't pass up such talent.", the CEO of Star Entertainment replied with a charming smile.
...
"We have several programs in place to encourage young talent..." the CEO continued with the interview.
Lisa couldn't hear the rest of his statement. Her excitement died down a notch with her confusion. She was deep in thought. She stared blankly at the news item with unbelief.
"His original song!?", she mumbled to herself.

12:00 pm
It was break time.
Classes had passed by in a blur for Lisa. She had a burning topic on her mind to discuss with James, but she hadn't seen him anywhere all day.
She had typed "Where are you, sweetie?" 3 hours ago, but there was no reply from James.
He should have texted long ago about his successful audition.
Ping!
Lisa noticed a notification on her phone. It was from James.
"The garden.", it read.
'Ahh... Finally!', she thought, a little relieved. She had started to worry.
A familiar voice interrupted Lisa's thoughts.
"Hey, girl! What's up? Did you see the news this morning? James is a superstar!", Ruby, Lisa's best friend came up to her with a brilliant smile.
She was a flawless Latina beauty with long, straight, black, silky hair, cheerful and confident. An accomplished social media influencer with brains to match her beauty.
"I know right? I'm so excited! Eeeeee!!", Lisa replied, hugging her best friend.
"Tell me about it! Your fiance is the latest attraction in Z City! So cool!", Ruby emphasized. Her tone called for celebration.
Both girls squealed with excitement.
She continued,
"And... That song? Girl, I know your product when I hear it. But... somehow your work is trending without your name on it. How did that happen?" Ruby, objective as always questioned Lisa.
"Oh c'mon Ruby! How do you know James didn't write it?" Lisa defended her beloved fiance.
Ruby rolled her eyes with a pout, flipping her long hair in a total girly-girl fashion.
"It's obvious. James is no writer. You know that. You, on the other hand, are an exceptional composer and performer. I've told you several times. You have to let the world hear you!" Ruby declared.
Lisa giggled shyly
"C'mon Ruby. You know I'm shy.", Lisa whispered the last part of the statement.
"You'll get over it. I know you will." Ruby replied with a wink.
"Thanks for the pep talk Ru'. I gotta go see James. Catch you later.", Lisa waved goodbye to Ruby temporarily.
"Alright. See you two lovebirds later.", Ruby replied with a wink.

...
Lisa catwalked through the halls, headed for the gardens in the centre of the prestigious 'First Class University of Z City.'
That was where she and James liked to hang out most times.
The gardens were lush, beautiful, serene.
James stood by the fountain in all his perfect glory. He was well-built. Tall and handsome. He already looked like a superstar. The gentle breeze caressed his shiny brown hair. The unbuttoned portion of his silk shirt slightly exposed his sculpted chest. He was obviously going for sexy and he nailed it.
Lisa's green eyes spotted him from the distance.
Her heart fluttered with butterflies.
She came up to him with a smile that radiated her matchless beauty.
Her expression stunned James for a moment. They had grown up together, yet her beauty was stunning every single time he saw her.
"Darling!... Congratulations!" Lisa hugged her beloved James with genuine excitement.
He flashed a charming smile that ended too quickly.
The hug also ended a bit too quickly for Lisa. James virtually unlaced her fingers from around his neck and pulled her hands down.
"What's wrong my love?", she asked.
