The clock ticking re surrounded towards the empty hallway. The lights flickered from time to time. Zenith uncomfortably shifted his lying posture. Astrophel has already left after sending him back towards his room. Now, he was spending the night alone.
He was about to spend the night together with Orpheus, but Hanzel the devoted butler was thoroughly against it. He anxiously propped himself up.
He gazed towards the slightly ajar door. Weird, he was sure Ophel properly locked the door. Hanzel also cannot make a rookie mistake like this. The old man has long been serving Vivindel ever since he was a child.
From Zenith's memory he cannot find any mistakes in Hanzel. Other than Zenith, Hanzel and Astrophel there is only Orpheus. He slowly climbed towards the Wheelchair beside the bed, it was placed there for easier access if he ever wanted to leave the room himself.
After comfortably seating himself he slowly willed the wheelchair towards the door. The hallway was entirely quite as the candles flicker here and there. The mansion was just to big that the lights cannot illuminate the other places making the place dark and scary.
Well, not too scary for Zenith.
" 0017, what kind of sweets do you think is the sweetest? "
[ It's obviously chocolate, host. ]
" Chocolate? "
[ Yep! Just imagine the rich and sweet taste of chocolate. Isn't it the sweetest? ]
" Well, That's too bad then. "
[ Well, it is for you Host. The data states that you are allergic to chocolates, What a pitiful host (T^T) ]
One human and one system keep on talking while walking. Zenith finally ended the conversation after seeing the majestic door towards the library.
Zenith had truly planned on going here the first time he heard those players mumbling about clues and whatnots. Unfortunately, Hanzel never allowed him to go here.
The old man keep on finding reasons to prevent him from going here. Which only made Zenith strengthen his resolve. I mean, wasn't he the owner of this house? Then why isn't he allowed here? Doesn't it make sense?
He pushed opened the door and was greeted by the sight of dust. Zenith coughed as if he was dying. The library doesn't seem to used for a long time. He hastily rummage towards the scattered books on the floor.
After hours of rummaging towards the pile of dusty books he finally saw the thing he was searching. A diary.
Movies usually have this kind of thing, besides this world doesn't seem to use logic. I mean, the first time he saw a floating mansion once he fully understand that the worlds he will enter soon was likely logicless. That's why from then on he finally abandoned his shame and logic and became a thick faced person who bases things differently.
