You have to go Allan. Listen, can you hear the footsteps approaching?"
Allan reluctantly took a few steps backwards from Olivia, despite the imminent danger he was facing at the moment. Olivia had a similar feeling. She doesn't want him to find out that deep down in her heart, she had forgiven him.
"How can I ever leave you here, knowing this could be the last time I will set my eyes on you? Curse this day for I have betrayed my friend," lamented Allan. The more they kept talking the more the footsteps kept approaching.
"Come here!" Olivia told him. He drifted closer and threw his arms across her back. They hugged for a few seconds. "You have to leave now, and be careful. Take care of your mother as well," her eyes flooded with tears again as she spoke. At the same time, Allan was going emotional too. Slowly, she let him go. None of them could control their tears anymore as they unwillingly move away from each other. Olivia never stopped staring at his faint image until he faded away into the darkness.
A few seconds later, the alpha appeared. "What took you so long, Olivia?"
"My poor soul will be offered to the moon goddess in a matter of days, how does it make you feel? I wanted to connect with nature and find peace for my soul while I await execution," her tears were ever dripping. Ramon saw them flowed but, but there was nothing he could do. It was a matter of days before the day of appeasement to the moon goddess of the Werewolves.
Olivia was taken back to the wolf's prison where she awaits her fate. Once again, she was reunited with Medusa. However, she chose to stay carefully in her corner having learnt the intentions of the Witch. Olivia knew the witch never meant good for her. Medusa only seeks to use Olivia to achieve her longtime dream.
From the dark corner, the old vampire whispered, "Olivia, I see you are back? You can never escape from this dungeon, no matter how hard you try Olivia. Here you will stay till the very end of your life. Hahaha...," her evil laughter echoed through the surrounding.
"What was that supposed to mean?" Olivia asked with inquisitiveness. She pretended to be naive this time. Deep down, she knew the old vampire Queen was talking about her inevitable doomsday.
"Oh come on, poor girl! Don't pretend you don't know what is about to happen. There is no escape. Olivia, you can't win this alone. Only I can help you escape from this. What a horrible way to die! A death by sacrifice is unthinkable and inhumane but, my fangs can make it less severe.
"Okay, I have heard them all from you," Olivia cuts in, as she can't stand listening to Medusa anymore. "That's enough! I have heard the same story over and over again. If you have nothing more important to talk about then, you might as well shut your mouth and let silence reign between us!"
"Hahaha...," Medusa's evil laughter lingered despite Olivia's disinterest in whatever the vampire had to say. "Hmmm, I see you feel very uncomfortable whenever the truth is been aired out, doesn't it? You know the truth Olivia sadly, you can't run away from it."
"Shut up!" Olivia screamed. She let her rage, be felt by Medusa. She knew she was going to die horribly but, she doesn't want anyone to keep reminding her about that. However, that was what Medusa had been doing ever since she was returned to prison. "Can't you just shut up? I'm trying to concentrate and have some sleep, can't you see that?" She stood up and began walking in the direction of Medusa's voice unafraid. "You think I'm afraid of you? I'm not you! Show your face at once!"
Medusa couldn't believe the bold step Olivia had taken. No prisoner has ever dared to talk to her in the manner that Olivia had done. And not just that, she dared her. The vampire thought this was the opening she needed to do what she had longed for. "Finally, you have realized it was better to spill your blood for a good cause and not some nonsense sacrifice. The moon goddess doesn't deserve you because she meant no good for you but, I did."
Olivia cared less to listen to what the vampire was telling her. "Just get on with it and don't waste my time," she told Medusa.
Medusa thought this was too good to be true. She wondered what could have emboldened Olivia and had suddenly changed her mind. "That's right Olivia, fast it shall be as you wish," she replied. Soon Olivia was within her grip. She lurked at the poor little Olivia in the darkness. She appeared from behind as Olivia stood in the middle with her back turned against the old vampire. Medusa placed her creepy hands on each edge of her shoulders. She inched closer to Olivia. She made her old, dry chin rest on Olivia's shoulder. Next, she whispered a few words close to Olivia's left ear. "You have chosen the right path. You are doing the right thing, my daughter. It's better to spill your blood here than waste them for the so-called, blood-thirsty Moon goddess."
"Don't waste my time, just give me that bite. Don't just spill them Medusa. Make them count. Take my blood and do whatever you want but, turn me into one of you. That's the least you can do for me," Olivia pleaded. Her last-minute decision was made after concluding, that there was no way she could escape from death. Turning herself into a vampire she thought, was the only way she could escape. Although she knew not, all the curses that come with it, she was willing to let Medusa have her way.
"At last, you are thinking like you have something to prove Olivia. I'm proud of you. This is it. Just close your eyes and dare not open them. Let my fang take a punch through your veins. I promise you, it will be painless, Hahaha...!" She laughed wickedly as usual. Medusa was lying through her teeth when it comes to the-painless statement she had made. Her victim will soon find that, to be the most painful experience she has had in her whole life. Olivia had no idea of what she had called for. It was the beginning of a new era. She failed to understand the grave consequences.
