Chereads / The Legend Of The Four / Chapter 6 - A Talk About Our Past

Chapter 6 - A Talk About Our Past

The inside of the white room was filled with tension as each one of the occupants had numerous questions with no one to answer them.

The impatient one amongst them, Aryan, was punching one of the walls to vent out his frustration but it was of no use he couldn't feel any sort of physical pain to distract himself from all of the emotional turmoil he was currently going through.

Even after spending a lot of times inside the white room which felt like months as none of the four had any sense of time in it and the mysteriously none of them felt hunger or tiredness in this strange place.

Aryan had a lot of breakdowns during this time when he would just burst into crying and keep on doing so for what seems like hours and sometimes he would just shout at the wall to try and vent some frustration on.

Even after doing all this he just couldn't get the betrayal from a friend who he held really close from his heart.

The observant one of them, Akito, just sat tight on his bed processing everything in his mind and watch the other three.

He wanted to know where he was very badly even more than Aryan, but he didn't showed it in front of the three strangers or incase if they're been watched over by some entity.

He would sometimes bury his head in a crouching position and silently cry. He would not move or make any sound, just tears would come out of his eyes.

During this time he regretted evry single choice he made in his life even after knowing that it was of no use as he couldn't change anything because if he had a chance he would spend more time.e with his family and his grandpa.

The position among the girls was now reversed, it was the girl in hijab, Nafeesa, who would keep on crying without any stop and the shy girl, Mia who would try and comfort Nafeesa.

Mia was a little better than Nafeesa, as she had a little more time than her to face the fact that she is dead and what consequences it had bring to her loved ones.

She knew or rather hoped with her gone her mother would go back to normal and her father after waking up from coma would take some time but he would eventually move on.

Even thinking this didn't made it any easier for her after all she was dead, her life had just ended without meaning anything.

She would sometimes move away from Nafeesa and cry by her own or sometimes together with her. The guys would leave them alone as they knew everybody needed a little space.

While the other three were going through their own turmoil, Nafeesa also had her own emotional turmoil that she was going through.

She failed her father, she could only think how her father's sacrifice went to waste, how he died for nothing. There was a small part that knew she was not to blame but even then the major part of her blamed herself.

She blamed herself for getting caught, for not running fast enough and for dying. She would think that if she would've succeeded in running away then her father's death wouldn't had to be meaningless .

"Urgh....When am I going to get out of this place?" shouted Aryan while punching one of the walls.

"It's no use you know, the shouting, the person or thing that is keeping us here, must be doing it for a reason so unless you could figure that out there's no use doing anything" said Akito after getting fed up with Aryan's constant shouting.

"Then why don't you use your brain and figure that out and tell me and then I'll be gone and you won't have to listen to my shouting" replied Aryan.

"Even if you beg I won't " said Akito with a smirk on his face.

"Youuu... How dar..." said Aryan rushing for fight with Akito, but before he could do anything Nafeesa jumped in between the two out of nowhere.

"Will you stop acting on your impulses?" Nafeesa said in reprimanding tone to Aryan "and you please stop playing him, it cause a lots of problem" in a strict tone to Akito.

"You don't get to say that to me... What are you??my mo... and before he could finish his sentence, he was met with Nafeesa's cold angry eyes which clearly meant that she will not take any resistance from him lightly so Aryan gave up... for now.

Akito seeing her reaction to Aryan's behaviors also gave up to any thought of talking back to her.

"You were talking about there beign a reason for all of us to be here, can you explain more?" said Nafeesa with a neutral tone to Akito.

Akito ran his gaze through the other three people in the room and started to think if he should share what he knows with them or not.

"Please, we all want to get out of here and to do that we will have to work together for that" said Nafeesa.

"I don't trust you all and especially that guy, but you seems a little bit reliable so I'm going toput my faith in you, because what you say could be true and we'll probably need each other to trust each other" said Akito after carefully thinking .

"Thank you" replied Nafeesa.

" I don't know if it's correct or not, it's just my own conclusion after thinking about it, okay??" said Akito.

"We need everything we can get right now and your conclusion is the only think we got" said Nafeesa.

" Throughout our lives we've heard many things about what would happen to us in our afterlife, in most religions, two things remain constant, the idea of heaven and hell, this room definitely can't be called heaven and it also can't be called hell, but that part could be reconsidered after all, I got stuck with this idiot" Akito said looking at Aryan.

"You dare ca..." Aryan said before getting cut by Nafeesa again.

"Continue please..." Nafeesa said to Akito.

"In certain religions there is believed to be a third place in afterlife which is not quite life and neither heaven nor hell, it is called a purgatory, some believe that it is the place where the souls of the people who does not belong to hell but at the same time it also does not belong to heaven goes for cleansing and then the souls enter heaven..." Aryan said and before he could finish a question was raised by one of the occupants.

"So we're trapped here for how much time? How long does this cleansing take?? I can't take it anymore, I just want to be with my family again" said Mia breaking down who was standing beside Nafeesa, she had bonded with her after comforting each other for days, and now was kneeling her and crying without any sign of stopping. Nafeesa tried to comfort her.

"Will you let me finish first, some also believe that purgatory are place for souls who are not ready to move on and are attached to the real world, so if you want to get out of here, you need to accept the fact that you're and you won't be able to see your family again " said Akito with a tome as gentle as possible.

"Not only you, but all of us need to move on, and I'm pretty sure that even one of us haven't move on then we won't be able to get out of this room and we'll be stuck here forever" Akito said to every one of occupants of the room and again he made everyone go into deep thought.
