After the opening ceremony done, we left our colossal tent behind and went exploring around the lab.
The lab itself is a building consists of two floors. When we entered the building, we were met by a hallway with several doors and a stairway to access the second floor.
The first floor consists of four rooms. The first one is a living room where one would study, relax, or eat in here. The second room is the Pokè ball Storage Room where thousands of Pokèmons are being stored in here in their Pokè balls.
"Wow! So this is the room where you stored thousands of Pokèmons? Can we go in?" Steven said.
"Unfortunately, no. I'm afraid that one of you is going to accidentally release an Onix and destroy my lab." Professor Oak said.
"Awww!" A lot of kids whined.
"Now now, let's move on to the next room."
The third room is a study room where one would of course, study in here. And the fouth room is a library where a lot of books are stored there including some of Professor Oak's old sketch book.
"Wow! Look at these drawings!" Steven said.
"Oho, looks like you found one of my old sketch book."
"Did you drew this professor?" I asked.
"Hoho, Yes Yuuta. I drew this a long time ago."
"It's so pretty!" Serena said.
"Yeah, it's so cool!" I said.
"Now then, shall we move on to the second floor. I'm sure you'll find a lot of interesting things there."
"Okay!!" Me, Steven and Serena said.
"Come on kids, we're going up to the second floor next."
And so we went up to the second floor after that. The second floor is the place where Professor Oak puts all of his research machines and computer as well.
I wasn't really surprised with all of the machines there because I've been to my uncle's lab so many times in Lumiose city. The only difference between the two is this one has a natural habitat for Pokèmons called The Corral and a Pokè ball storage room whereas the one in Kalos doesn't have those. I don't know where they would store the extra Pokèmons that a trainer have in Kalos. Do they even have that kind of place?
"Welcome to the heart of the laboratory. This is the place where I would do my research on Pokèmons." Professor Oak said.
"Woah!" A lot of kids were amazed.
"Professor, what is that machine over there?" Lilie pointed at several machines that are connected to an aquarium.
"Oh, this is the machine that I use to study some aquatic Pokèmons."
Professor Oak then begins to explain some of the machines there.
"This here is my computer. This computer is connected to this giant screen which I use to communicate with other professors or trainers. This computer is also connected to this thing here called the Pokèscan." He pointed at a thing that looked like a Pokè ball.
"If you put a Pokèmon in here, this thing will scan the Pokèmon inside and show it's data and stats on that giant screen."
"Woah! Can we see it functioning?" One of the kids said.
"Of course. Yuuta, can you come here for a second?"
"Yes?"
Professor Oak then booted up the computer.
"Now, may I borrow your Froakie for bit? Don't worry, this thing will not do any harm to your Froakie"
"Okay! Zen, don't be scared okay!"
"Froakie?" Zen was confused.
Professor Oak then took Zen from me and put him inside the Pokèscan. The Pokèscan then began the scanning process and shone a couple times. And a few seconds later, Zen came out of the Pokèscan and his stats are shown on the giant screen.

"Woah!" All the kids were amazed.
'Oi oi oi, what is this crazy stats? Why does he have two abilities? And look at those moves! There's freaking eight of them? Eight!? How can he have eight moves at only level 5?' I thought as I looked towards Zen with disbelieve.
"Froakie?" As if he's saying 'What? something wrong with me?'
"Wow Yuuta! Your Froakie is seem to be a very specia one here. Not only it's a rare variant, but this one has two abilities as well. I wonder what kind of egg that you got it from." Professor Oak said.
"I don't know. I thought it was just a normal egg. How can Zen knows eight moves already at level 5? And can a Pokèmon even have more than one abilities?"
"Hmm, indeed it's not very common to see a level 5 Pokèmon to have eight moves already. Normally, a Pokèmon would only be able to have 8 moves once it reaches the second stage of it's evolution or once it fully evolves. But there are some cases where this would happen. And yes, a Pokèmon can have more than one ability, but it is very rare for that to happen as well. It's like one in a thousand."
"Wooww!!" Everyone was amazed.
'What!? So it's a common thing that a Pokèmon can learn more than 4 moves? And what is this crazy luck that I have?'
"Hoho, just how lucky can someone be in their live."
"Haha..." I laughed nerveously
"Shigeru, Shigeru, what did Professor Oak said?" Satoshi asked in Hojokan.
"Tsk, gramps said that Yuuta's Pokèmon is really rare because it has two abilities and it already knows 8 moves already." Shigeru reluctantly responded.
"Woow! Really? Is it really that amazing?."
"Yeah, apparently."
Steven then asked Professor Oak to analyze his Pokèmon as well.
"Professor, can you analyze Tank as well?"
"Sure."
Professor Oak then puts Tank into the Pokèscan. And a couple seconds later, Tank's stats is shown on screen.

"Oh, looks like we got another interresting one here. Even though your Beldum only knows one abilitiy, this ability is a rare one." Professor Oak explained.
"Really!?" Steven said.
"Yes, most of the Beldum that I've found has the ability of Clear body instead of Light metal. Looks like you're a lucky one as well, Steven."
"Wooow!" All the kids were amazed.
"Shigeru, Shigeru what did Professor Oak said again?" Satoshi asked again in Hojokan.
"Tsk, I dont know! Figure it out yourself!" Shigeru responded.
"He said that Steven's Beldum is also a special one because it has a rare ability." I said to Satoshi.
"Woow! Really? I will definitely catch a rare Pokèmon as well once I become a trainer!" Satoshi said.
"Eh? You can speak Hojokan as well? I thought you're from Kalos?" Shigeru surprised.
"Yeah, my mom was the one who taught me."
"Is your mom from Kanto?" Shigeru asked.
"Yeah."
After that, Professor Oak then looked towards Cynthia.
"Ah, Cynthia, do you want me to analyze your Gibble as well?"
"N-no, I'm good." She responded nerveously
"What!? Why?" Dawn asked.
"It's scary! I don't want Greta to be hurt."
"Don't worry Cynthia. As you can see, Yuuta's and Steven's Pokèmons are completely fine after that. The scanning process will not hurt the Pokèmon inside."
"Really?"
"Yes, you can certainly trust me."
"O-okay."
Professor Oak then took Cynthia's shiny Gibble and put it inside the Pokèscan. And a couple seconds later, Her Gible came back out and it stats appeared on screen.

"Woow!" A lot of kids shouted.
"So Greta is special?" Cynthia asked
"Yes."
"Wow! You're amazing Greta!" She said while hugging her Gible.
"Gible!"
"Hoho, looks like this generation will be really fun to watch in the future."
'Woah! The one in the game is already scary enough, but this Cynthia is definitely gonna be a lot scarier than the one in game.' I thought as my spine is shivering.
After that, we're finally done with the tour. We then head back to our huge tent to have our lunch break. Some staff members of this lab has setted up some chairs and tables near our giant tent. And we're given out something like a Japanese bento box for our lunch. The contents of this bento box are rice, fried pidgey, some vegetables, and a juice box.
And yes, we do eat Pokèmons in this world, but not all of them. Although it may sound cruel, but I don't really mind it because they tastes good. And I'd say the choices of Pokèmons that you can eat here are reasonable. People in this world would only use Pokèmons like Pidgey, Magikarp, Tauros, or Spearow to be served as food.
After our lunch break is over, we went back inside the lab's living room to recieve a lecture from Professor Oak. This living room is somehow has been turned into a class room with chairs, tables, and a white board.
Professor Oak somehow made the lecture really fun. The topic that we went through was about some Kantonian Pokèmons. He first showed us some pitcures of the Pokèmon and then he explained it to us about it's type and evoulution.
After the lesson ended we're free to do whatever we want for the rest of the day. Nothing much happened after that until the night falls and we all went to sleep together in the colossal tent. And just like that the first day of the camp has ended.
