Chapter 11 - The Conflict

Lucian opened his green eyes like the best quality peridot.

Today is like a normal day. He has to have breakfast together with Alexandra, who she says really likes to eat with him. Although there was a servant who came to his room to prepare everything well, Lucian was not so dependent on them. Lucian was not the one who would ask the servant just to put him on a shirt.

"Sir Lucian, today Duchess Rissingshire will not have breakfast with you." Niles, a brunette servant with an open forehead, told Lucian respectfully.

Lucian stopped the activity of buttoning his shirt provided by Alexandra. Lucian's smooth forehead appeared wrinkles from hearing the news.

"Did something happen to Lexa?" he asked worriedly.

"The Duchess had to go to the border region immediately because there was a sudden meeting with the crown prince that came suddenly."

The sound of breathing with a very subtle voice occurred, Lucian who heard what the Butler said.

Coming suddenly was something unpleasant for the nobles, who always prepared things well. Compared to the envoy who came, now it was Alexandra who had to face immediately.

Did he really get permission?

Lucian stopped chewing his food, his calm eyes crocheted slightly, and it made the waiter confused

"There is a problem, Sir Lucian?"

Lucian immediately saw it, eyes that differed greatly from the one he had seen just now. It is plain and looks dazzling, like the morning sunlight.

"It's always an excellent breakfast." Lucian smiled as he finished his breakfast. He placed the plain white handkerchief provided on the table to his left.

Two seconds after doing that, he just stood up and walked over. A sword that had been on his left waist had been touched quietly. His footsteps guided Lucian towards the shouting sound of the strongest men there gathered together.

Unlike yesterday, there was no talk of him being unable to hold a sword.

When Lucian walked into the practice field, he got the attention of everything there. Unopposed, Lucian swung his sword as moving his muscles.

"I already feel different from the swordsmanship he uses." A knight's voice sounded. He was wiping the sweat from his face. The young knight has reddish hair like corn hair.

"Of course it's different. The official knights received the same basic lessons. Unlike the mercenaries, who rarely get the basis of the sword ability. Even in Rissingshire alone, we have different sword skills."

The other knight answered what the new knight's curiosity was when Lucian sheathed his sword, his eyes calmly looking at them, which inexplicably made them speechless.

The shocking cold air, yes, it is impossible from a distance like this Lucian can hear their chatter.

Lucian rested for a while, watching the clear sky above his head.

"What's it like now?"

**

The sound of horses sounded enormous. When the people who were there saw the flag flying, they all knew who was coming.

In front of the largest tent, Alexandra stopped the horse and went downstairs with the horse.

The tent guard knight immediately went inside to convey his arrival. The knight just now returned immediately and opened the door of the tent.

"Duchess Alexandra Rissingshire met the Crown Prince."

Alexandra passed through the door quietly. The state inside the tent looked calm. The crown prince was sitting in his chair and looked at him with friendly eyes.

"On the imperial sun of Asteorene emitting its rays, I am Duchess Alesandra Rissingshire, facing you respectfully."

Alexandra who stood up saluted while looking down.

"Raise your head, Duchess."

Hearing the voice of crown prince Shamus Asteorene, Alexandra raised her head. As usual, Shamus's blond hair looks so shiny, and the blue eyes are like the sea.

Alexandra looked at Shamus, who was looking at her with a smile. There is a border area like this, something have officially notified the crown prince before coming.

"The look in your eyes has always been bold and vigorous, Alexandra."

"Since I will be your sword here, Crown Prince Shamus."

Hearing Alexandra's answer, Shamus stood up, he walked over and was now in front of Alexandra at a distance of thirty centimeters.

"Are you exhausted from coming here in a hurry?" asked Shamus to Alexandra.

"No, prince."

Alexandra's answer made Shamus mutter once. He then headed to the exit. "Well, then we are now moving."

Alexandra and Shamus' personal bodyguards followed Shamus directly. There are some affairs they are going to do, and it is very busy for them.

**

Shamus sat in his chair, his face looking tired. The two people who had been by his side since just now heard his breathing.

Shamus raised his head and looked at Alexandra.

"Without you, I think conflicts will continue to arise here."

Actually, the border area entered the marquis Collwell's territory but because of his incompetence, conflicts continued to appear there and made the imperial color of Asteorene suffer.

Before sunrise, Alexandra got an imperial sealed letter, and it came from the crown prince. To reach the border area should take at least four days.

But because Rissingshire has witches and portals, they use it to speed up the journey, Alexandra is also only able to bring her five knights without having time to tell Lucian.

"When they look at the example, they will understand that we are serious." Alexandra looked straight at Shamus. Never for a second did Shamus get used to alexandra's gaze. Made Shamus a little uneasy, but he covered it with a calmness that had been honed since he was a child.

The example Alexandra said was to directly finish the bandits there and hang them in the square. Even when there were soldiers of the neighboring empire trying to infiltrate and make a fuss, Alexandra caught them all.

The thirty enemy knights who are on the border are simply referred to as the call to war. That's why Alexandra killed twenty-nine knights, and took out their hearts, putting them in a chest that she then gave to one surviving knight.

"Tell your emperor, next time the one in the chest is his heart." The aura of intimidation that resonated with her family crest frightened the soldier. Even to walk he struggled, falling repeatedly because of his body losing power.

"Because of this request of mine, your engagement party will have a scheduled setback." Shamus stared guiltily.

Alexandra pulled the corners of her right lip back slightly.

"No, Crown Prince. The party will go according to the schedule. Tomorrow my knight and I will return to Rissingshire."

Shamus's eyes flickered. He looked at Alexandra in disbelief.

"I'm still here for the next week. You should have started."

"Sorry Crown Prince Shamus, but I have a personal knight who has been sworn in by you and I am not that knight. My job is to resolve the conflict."

Alexandra said it firmly. Shamus bit his lip slightly. This is how Rissingshire is. They acted as they pleased.

"Even the conflict is not over yet."

clip-clop-clip-clop!

The sound of horse legs sounded from behind the tent.

"I think my knights have finished it, crown prince Shamus. The one who will serve you now be the Marquis Collwell, because this is his fiefdom. I retreated first." Alexandra lowered her head and walked straight out of the tent.

The crown prince's hand clasped tightly. His face darkened because he felt ignored by Alexandra.
