He had been thinking about how to approach Jade with what was on his mind.
He had been thinking about this for weeks now and still had not summoned up the courage to ask her that question.
"Adonis," Mrs Pegg called.
Anytime she called him with his first name without adding 'master', he knew that she was about to say something serious — something that she was not joking about.
"Yes?"
"I see you thinking and I wonder why you do not want to go ahead and ask her," Mrs Pegg said.
Adonis sighed. "I do not know how she will react to it... what if she turns me down?"
"Then she turns you down..." Mrs Pegg replied. "But if you do not ask, you will not know if she would say yes or not. I do not like how I am seeing you... take the bull by the horn, Adonis..." Mrs Pegg said. "This is unlike you..."
