That was exactly what Carlos wanted to hear. One could say that Carlos Hunt was an overzealous beta who did things behind the alpha's back -- things that he thought would benefit Saku. That was how Carlos was. And that was why he had been trying to get rid of Beowulf even without Saku's knowledge.
"Gather all the packs, including the Lycan warriors and the Doomridge pack,"Saku said as he relaxed on his chair. His eyes looked dreamy and glazed over as if he was seeing something else with his eyes. It was as if it had just dawned on him that he could acquire the land that the humans occupied. When he had been explaining to Luana why he had to do what he had to do, she reminded him of what he promised her all those years ago. But Saku dismissed that. He was too ambitious to let some promise get in his way.
"What should we gather them for? Would there be a meeting?" Carlos asked.
"Yes," Saku replied. "And they would join the Sandulf pack in the battle."
