Chapter 6 - Chapter 4. Big shot and big reveal

The Shadows and the mages were seated, and even more important guests arrived.

More nobility, more people of culture, even scientists - all from the mages' side. I assumed they were waiting for their lords to make appearance. It was, in a way, a seal of approval making this event worthy.

They were attended, provided with alcoholic beverages and entertained with music and dancing.

We were told that the next big shots would arrive soon. And they did indeed.

The castle doors opened and the steward announced:

"The Starlink Diplomatic Delegation."

We, servants, quickly stood in a row and the Queen and King made a step forward to greet the honourable guests.

The Starlink Diplomatic Delegation comprised of four people. Their leader is the ambassador Ha-na, the Green Star of the Rift. She was one of the first starlings arrived on our planet. Yes, this planet was not the place their species originated from. They are extraterrestrial people who lives here for who knows how long. They claimed the whole "saving this planet from dying and sealing the Rift" their own thing and stayed. Everybody knows that they fled here after their own planet ceased to exist, but still approvingly nods to their "high cause".

After a brief pleasantries exchange, the SDD and their servant, Sheila, the person who liked thinking deep philosophical thoughts, proceed to the special place. The Delegation was friendly and approachable. They managed to talk with a great deal of the guests before finally sat at the table.

"It is so refreshing to see some friendly faces..." Sighed the King.

"Truly it is, my love."

The King knew the ambassador. She was his teacher, his mentor. She is the same as him - the foreseer. Most of the starlings are.

I knew her too, I met her when I was still a mere child. My acquaintance with her abilities wasn't all moonlight and roses...

We waited patiently for the next big arrival. It had to be big, 'cause all of us, and I mean ALL, would know how the merfolk princess ACTUALLY looked.

You see, the merfolk have this idiotic tradition that princesses, princes, and in-between, cannot live their room before they're come of age of eighteen. Splendid, isn't it? After the "big reveal" the royal children usually end up being betrothed.

And look, I get that its their traditional thing, but a still don't quite get it. I'm sorry.

These thoughts were in my head when the steward made another announcement.

"The Ochre Ocean islands nobility with their leader Princess Akamai Ka'anā'anā."

Everybody came closer to the entrance to unravel the most guided and exciting secret of our time...

I looked up to see her with my own eyes too:

Princess Akamai was fit, even buff, and her gown managed well to reveal this feature. Beside that her body was ornamented with some merfolk tatoos. Her skin and her long wavy hair were of ochreish colour. She looked strong and healthy and hot, like heroes from their native myths. She was made to save the day and rule. At least that was my first impression.

"It is a great honour to have you in our castle, dear princess." The King bowed so as the Queen.

"I... The honour is mine, dear King and Queen of the human race...?" Princess sounded unsure, she tilted her head and went on. "What am I supposed to do now?" Asked she straight.

The King and the Queen exchanged glances and the Queen mumbled out:

"Oh dear..." She took a deep breath. "You... Now you just enjoy yourself, I guess..."

She quickly took Camel, the boy-servant, by hand and exclaimed:

"Here, dear princess, your servant! Eh... Took him and have fun! Ha-ha-ha..."

This was awkward as hell... However the princess took him... By hand... Nod to the Queen and took off...

Camel, oh poor Camel, was shipeeshly giving her directions to were her "place for fun" was situated.

People around gone crazy. They hardly gave some space to the princess. Soon she was devoured by the crowd. Only Shadows didn't give a fuck... Well only them and, unexpectedly, the bitchy mage a.k.a Golden Galaxy.

She was sitting alone while Edward were pouring some sparkling wine in her glass. She wasn't interested at all, and her face was screaming "please die already stupid uninteresting herd".

But... Were the hell was Vampire Consulate?!
