Chapter 3 - The Battle

He was shocked, he didn't move. He stood there as the air around him blew. He stood there as the sky turned from a shining blue to a glowing orange. Leaves rustled and wind blew, yet he stood there. Motionlessly. Almost calmy. But in his eyes, if you looked hard enough, traces of shock were found. He didn't know how long he was there. What snapped him out of it was a sudden sound..

"Grrrrr.."

A deep growl was heard from the woods. His eyes darted around, attempting to locate the sound. He spun and pivoted, looking around to find the enemy. Suddenly, a wolf jumped out from the grass. Reko didn't have time to react. The wolf dug it's jaws into his back, yet like last time, the pain was replaced with a strange tingling sensation.

He shook it off, as a large chunk of flesh was torn from his back. He slashed at the wolf with his hands, or rather, claws. He aimed for the throat, and much to his surprise, the attack landed. The wolf yelped and attacked frantically. Then Reko heard two other low growls from both of his sides. His eyes widened, he thought,

'Of course..! Wolves travel in packs..!'

He jumped back as the wolves on his landed where he previously was, jaws open. He slashed ones neck as the other one slashed his leg. He fell down. The wolf pounced at this moment, biting down on his side. Reko grunted and bit down on the wolf's neck as hard as he could.

Crack!

A large crack was heard as he wouldnt be surprised if he shattered the wolf's collar bone. The wolf fell to the ground lifelessly. Reko looked around slowly, spotting a small cave entrance nearby. He bit down on the wolf as he slowly dragged it into the cave.
