The ground shook as the chimera writhed and squealed in pain. The healing had tripled the pain that it should've felt prior to being healed. Suddenly its body stopped moving, and holes as wide as cantaloupes started to manifest. From inside its body, a hand reaches out, pulling out itself. The man's legs shook and quivered, trying to stand straight. His stomach cries out in hunger, begging him to fill it.
His blood-red eyes searching in his vicinity for any living organisms. What came into view was Elder Wu, and the others following behind him. Their aura gives away their location. Seeing the clothes of a victim that he had eaten, when he was still his beast form, took it for himself. When Elder Wu and the others came upon the man, they were wary of him.
The chimera however got up and walked slowly towards the group. His posture and movements are still very beastlike. Bearing his fangs, like a predator, staring them down with his eyes searching for any openings and weaknesses.
At first Elder Wu was only wary of the man, but seeing as how the man is emitting the same beastly qi as the chimera, he unsheathed his Dao. The others would follow suit, drawing their attention toward the man. The Chimera copying their every move grabs the deceased man's Jian. Lunging forwards, the Chimera swung down his Jian sloppily, unable to hit any disciple or elder.
Still adjusting to its evolution, the chimera was still not used to the human muscles he now had. In his beast form, he easily tore men and women into two. Now he could inflict damage with the Jian on the foes. Taking the chance, a core disciple swung his Dao, twisting and turning his body, building up momentum. [ Copper Cicada Fifth Form: Summer Cry ]

His Dao splits the chimera's shoulder open, from its shoulder to its sternum. Unable to withdraw his blade, he lets go, before snatching the chimera's Jian. Elder Wu not wasting time thrusts his Qiang(spear), it pierces the chimera's chest again. Leaving a giant hole, that should've killed the chimera. Hower the black strands from before emerged and pulled the chimera back together.
Oozing from within the Chimera, were five dead bodies. The meat shell that contained the souls of the dead it consumed. Still slouched over, the chimera staggers forward. Its arms swing back and forth before it suddenly disappeared from Elder Wu's field of vision. Reappearing in front of the core disciple that had attacked first.
Its bloodshot eyes stare deep into the core disciple's soul. In a blink, a head rolls on the ground, while a blood shower fell upon everyone. Ear rupturing beastly roar stuns Elder Wu and the rest that surrounded the chimera. Could it even be called a chimera anymore? Its animal limbs were now completely human limbs. His aura completely overwhelmed the elders.
Except for Elder Wu, who was considered the third strongest elder in the Golden Cicada sect. His strong spear arts were strong enough to pierce through boulders. His previous attacks should've killed the chimera. Yet it lived due to its unnatural and inhuman healing capabilities.

Back in the cave, the girl had come to. Surrounded by unknown men and women, she stayed silent. Her eyes stared blankly at Wei Jian, who sat by her side, rolling in his palm a small ball. Noticing her staring, Wei Jian smiles at the girl. But she just kept on staring blankly not saying a word.
" Guo Xiaoqing, bring the child back to the sect, and be sure to tell the remaining elders to be vigilant on their task." Matriarch Duan Xiulan gestured for the rest to gather outside.
Outside the group breathed in the fresh air, exhaling the horrid stench they inhaled for hours. Shen Tingfeng and Duan Xiulan noticed that some elders and disciples were missing. She was informed that the others left to chase the sound of a person in danger. Telling Shen Tingfeng what had happened, he ordered everyone to move. They were almost back out into the open meadow until a massive explosion occurred to the east.

Everyone stopped dead in their tracks, with his hand up, Shen Tingfeng gestures for everyone to head towards the location. One by one all of them vanish by using movement techniques. When they arrived, in front of them were Elder Wu and an unknown person. Elder Wu's robe was in tatters, his neatly kept hair in shambles, and his body was littered with cuts and bruises.
Trees were unearthed and the remaining ones from Elder Wu's team were only himself and one barely alive core disciple. Elder Wu held on with his Qianq holding up his body, he was fatigued and too tired to continue. Wei Jian, Duan Xiulan, Shen TingFeng, Elder Dong, and the rest came to Elder Wu's side.
Elder Dong catches the falling Elder Wu, matriarch Duan Xiulan ordered him to treat the two before joining them. When Elder Dong left to heal Elder Wu and the core disciple, Wei Jian, and the ones facing the evolved chimera, unleash their realms aura.
