STACEY
I settle down on the couch with Mom. My mom's in her late 30's, she's not that old...more like a big sister to me.
"So, mom....about the project." I say.
"Oh, yes. What about it?"
"Okay, I went to find a job for this project. We were asked to be pretend married, that's the project for this course so um....my pretend married husband is Dylan and we were told to do everything married couples do apart from sex."
"What about Cameron?"
"Mom, he was paired with someone else." I say.
"I see you two haven't been getting along well since that day you fell sick." She points out.
"Let's not talk about Cam mom. I'm very much hungry."
"Oh, I made some lady fingers, hoagies and fricassies. Take anyone you want. I made Calvados too."
"I want chow mein. I'll just make one." I say.
"Suit yourself."
I walk into the kitchen shortly after to make myself chow mein, Gayle was already making one for herself so I just walk back to the living room, monitoring her and waiting for the food to be done.
She leaves the kitchen shortly after and I tip toe into the kitchen to see if it's done. I rush out immediately when I hear the sound of her footsteps on the stairs.
She turns it a bit and scoops out some and carry it to her room.
I tip toe into the kitchen and take the pot that had a left over of it. I start to dig in, I must admit my little sis is a great cook. I finish up some minutes later, still unsatisfied and wanting more, I return the empty pot to the gas top and tip toe back to the living room.
The sound of Gayle's voice is heard from the living room and I chuckle to myself right before the question hit me.
"Stacey! Why'd you eat my chow mein!" She asks with an angry look on her face.
"Oh my, you need to see how you look right now." I say while laughing and this makes her even angrier as her brows furrow.
"I don't care! I want my chow mein!"
"I didn't take your chow mein Gayle." I say.
"Vaughn doesn't like chow mein! Just you and I that eats chow mein in this house." She says.
"I didn't eat your chow mein!"
"Lies. Mamá." She calls out.
"Fine, I ate it! I was hungry. I came into the kitchen to fix myself chow mein but you were already on it. I saw the left over in the kitchen and thought you left it for me so I ate it." I say and she stomps her feet before storming out of my presence.
I laugh out loud to myself.
"Go make her chow mein." I stop laughing at the sound of that.
"But mamà, I was just hungry." I say.
"¡¿Eh?! ¡Sal de ahí y ve a hacerle chow mein! (Huh?!Get out of there and go make her chow mein!)" Mom says and I get off the cushion to make her chow mein.

DATE
She walks into her room shortly after making chow mein to relax and probably nap before the dinner date. She stares at the ceiling for a while.
The door creaks as Gayle hops inside. She gives Gayle this evil look before ordering her out of her room. Her wardrobe has over dozens of clothes, mostly casual as she isn't the party type.
She lay on her bed wondering what it would be like to go on a date with Jed, stealing a glance at her wardrobe one more time, she shuts it.
"What color would do for a date?" She googled.
Red, black and some other colors popped up in her search. Very much undecided, she decides to give Devika a call with a head ups.
"Hey babygirl." Devika says over the phone.
"Hey, I'm going on a date with Jed tonight. I'm very much undecided, come over."
"I'm quite busy darling, just send me pictures of what you have in mind, I'll make a pick."
"My mind is blank babes." She says.
"Oh, just find something red and classy looking." Devika says and hangs up.
She plunge herself on the bed frustrated, wondering what she would wear for the date.
Mom walks in couple of minutes later with a metallic blue gown, it's mini and sleeveless, has an opening in the neck and a very big circle opening at the back and it's shimmery.
"I overheard your conversation with her." Mom says after settling down on the bed with the clothes in her hand.
"Yes."
"I got you covered." Her mom says and hands her the dress.
"I've always had it, but I've never worn it." She explains.
Stacey takes the clothe from her and pulls her into a warm embrace, thanking her.
"I've got something doing downstairs, I should go now so the cake doesn't get burnt." With that being said, mom exits the room.
Stacey takes the dress up and stares at it. She never knew her mom is fashionable. She checks herself out in front of the mirror before applying hair mask. She waits for a few minutes before washing the mask off with aloe vera after which she blows dry her hair before settling down to cream it.
She creams her hair and roll it up, pin it with a rolling pin after which she wears a satin bonnet over her hair. Next, her facial cleansers.
She applies a face mask on her face after which she puts cucumber slices over her eyes after laying on the bed. She had already set an alarm for 10 minutes max.
*10 minutes later*
The alarm beeps, disrupting the silence that had already invaded the room. She gently takes off the cucumber slices and dispose it off after which she leaves to wash off her face mask. She returns to the room with a face towel in her hand as she dried her face.
She glances at the gown laying on her bed for a while before putting it on. She settles down in front of the dresser and then she does her brows after which she moves on to applying concealer and foundation, mascara on her eyes and then she draws her cat eyes. A red lip gloss to go with an arched brow.
Within minutes, she's done with her face and returns to her hair. She takes out the hair rollers and touch her hair a bit, it flowed down with curly ends.
She steals a glance at her phone once more. It's 6:33pm.
She goes on to do her nails and then she steps into her glass heels. She looks herself in the mirror once more before confidently leaving her room.
The sound of her heels could be heard as the clicked at each step she made.
"Oh my, my baby be looking so cute." Mom says admiring her.
"Thanks màmà."
"You look stunning babyyyy." She says.
"I know right? I should get going mom....and thanks for the dress."
"Not so fast! It's a date, he should pick you up. Your outfit isn't complete." Mom says and she stares at herself once more, wondering what could be wrong or what she could be missing.
"Cologne." Mom says.
"Oh, cologne. Doesn't matter mummy, besides I'm out of cologne." She says.
"No, it matters. There's cologne on my bedside table in my room." Mom says.
She leaves shortly after to get the cologne. She had in her hands a silver purse, silver ring to accompany it....silver bracele. She had on a blue choker with silver earrings that had a tint of blue as it's design.
She steps into the living room where she had met mom earlier.
"Now that's complete." Mom says hugging her.
She settles down on the couch opposite her mom's, she rings Jed and he tells that he's on his way and says to wait a little longer.
She was already starting to sweat, she turned on the fan and air conditioners but she was still feeling hot. Jed shows up couple of minutes later and they leave together for Lorenzo's.
"You look stunning babe." He says as we get into the car.
"You're not bad yourself."
"You look very much ravishing."
I was a bit unhappy the date isn't with Cam but I tried to wade him off my mind. I turn on the stereo to cool my head and ease thinking about Cameron as I didn't want to ruin the mood.
