Ring...Ring
My phone rang. The special exam had just ended in the evening. We were given time to rest till dinner. The injured students were taken to the medical wing to be treated. And the exam ended without anyone being expelled in the second year. However, I still couldn't let my guard down. Even though Tsukishiro didn't have any intention of expelling me, I didn't know what his intention was. A man of his caliber should be at least an elder of the White room. However, this confrontation proved a hunch of mine. There are one or more white room enforcers in this school. And also that student hates me very much. I checked my phone I had received a lot of messages. most of them were from the Ayanokoji-group as they were discussing plans for today.
I changed my clothes while reading the message. It was from the Ayanokoji group asking to meet me at the reception. I replied back, after telling them that I meet them soon. I changed my clothes and locked my hotel room.
In the elevator I was fondling with my phone, I ran into Ichinose.
"Hi Ichinose, how have you been ?"
"I'm fiinnnne.", said Ichinose hiding her face.
Silence.....
I should probably say something before it gets awkward. But before I could say anything we arrived on the ground floor and Incinose hurried off to meet her classmates. Well, that's kinda awkward as I couldn't even hold a proper conversation. It's partially my fault for not giving her a proper answer to her confession.
"I'll have to give her a proper answer as soon as I can before any rumors start to spread." I thought, seeing her friends turning their backs and giggling.
After this, I headed to the reception to meet up with my friends. It seemed like Akito was the first one to arrive.
"Congratulations", he said to me loudly as soon as I arrived.
I wish he didn't say that aloud. I didn't want to attract more attention than I already have. Some students were already staring at us and whispering.
" You didn't have to make a commotion as soon as I arrived. In any case, it's not like I ranked in the Top 10 or anything."
"I can't tell if you are being modest or arrogant, but you did sound cool you know."
"Well, don't know about that but where's Airi and Haruka?", I asked him looking around, seeing that there were very few people in the reception.
Apparantly, keisei had got fever during the last few days of the exam. But he was able to bear it till the end of the exam somehow, after which he was immediately transferred to the hospital.
"Well, I told them to go without us cause there were a few third years following us. I did inform Horikita though."
"So he has finally made his move huh.", I thought to myself. I mean to get more information about me he had to target the people close to me.
Guess I'll get a bit serious. Though I really don't want to waste my energy.
As I was looking around I spotted Nagumo heading towards the rooms. Fortunately, he didn't notice me. He would cause a ruckus if he saw me now.
"Did you make an enemy of the student council ?"
"What are you talking about ?"
"Hmm. If its you then i don't think that there will be any problem. Anyway, what was your rank anyways ?", asked Akito grinning.
"I wonder. "
While I was gossiping with Akito, Haruka and Airi came down the elevator.
"Well, you guys arrived earlier than expected. so shall we go ?" asked Haruka.
"Its you who're late. We shouldn't keep Kesei waiting any longer."
"Oh come on Akito, Relax a little."
Akito must be on guard due to due to the third years still following us. I'll have to get rid of the pest soon...
**On the way to the nurse's office**
"By the way, congrats on acing the exam.", said Haruka
"Yeah congratulations, Kiyotaka.", said Airi.
Their is no use denying them anymore, they wont believe anything I say. I just nodded and left the topic at that.
I glanced back to look at Airi. Now that I look at her, she looked a lot different than before. She tied her hair with two ponytails and didn't wear her glasses and not longer hid her beauty. Did something happen during the island exam.
Honestly she was a shy girl and didn't like to stand out. So I wonder why would she suddenly change her appearance. Well there are plenty of things I don't understand about women. As we were thinking about this we arrived at the nurses room.
Seems like there were many patients beside Keisei. Honestly I didn't expect this many people to be injured. Desperate students would use any methods in order to climb up the ranks or to avoid being in the bottom groups. They would target the weaker students by stealing and even using violence. But the school has taken the measures just in case something like this happens and has taken measures. Then again - there are some loopholes in the rules, which were mostly taken advantage of by the people who ranked the highest...
We went to Keisei's bed. He was reading a book while lying on the bed. He looked healthy. It seemed that he was recovering and would be out of bed soon.
"I told you guys that you didn't need to come. Its just a normal Food poisoning. I will be discharged tomorrow morning."
"You shouldn't be like that Yukimu. We even brought some fruits for you.", said Haruka in a teasing voice. She then placed the fruits basket on the table.
"I'm not a child, okay. It seemed like all of you passed the exam too, huh..wait what rank did you get Kiyotaka, you went solo right ?"
"Hm. 16th place."
...Silence...
"I Shouldn't have asked. "said keisei in a low depressed voice.
Luckily Haruka quickly changed the topic.
"By the way how did you get Food Poisoning ?"
"I'm not quite sure but few hours before I started felling unwell, traded some dry meat from a group of first years. I got careless that time.- I think i got it from them."
"However, now I've decided to work out daily to keep myself healthy."
A first year who traded poisonous meat with Keisei.
Wait, could it be the other white room student Amasawa mentioned. The White room students that came after me have excellent communications skills. But there is also a possibility of there being more than 2 white room students. It would be quite difficult to send more than 2 student buy it is certainly not impossible.
I'll need to expand my information network, since I don't know Tsukishiro's true objective is and why didn't he want to expel me seriously. For that ill need to plant spies in the first years
Or I should get destroy the first year leaders, who are after the bounty. That would be a drag...
Maybe that might be too much. Since the director even bought a taser with him and a boat to kidnap me, could it be that he was trying to deceive my Father or the white room student or did he have some other objective. If so that means there is a traitor from the white room...
While I was pondering about Tsukishiro's intentions, my phone rang. I checked the message that was sent. It was from an unknown number but that person had left something interesting in the end. My eyes just stared on the message for a long period of time, thinking about the sender of the message.
"I would really like to relax and enjoy my time here. But it seems like trouble really like to find me even though I avoid it ." I said while looking at my phone which read
"Meet me at the rooftop at midnight or you'll regret it-."
I'm feeling sleepy already.....
