I wondered why they all looked so worried about me being here, But when I looked around no one needed to tell me what was up before I knew.
This place is a total secretive underground organization, With the guns too it pretty easy to say they are up to something bad here, Or else why would they be sensitive over a trivial Matter like me coming down here.
The whole place looks like a very Large and well constructed underground Manufacturing company....Well it's looks like it because I can see that there were lots of sealed boxes of different shapes and sizes stocked or rather piled up together.
The whole place was lit up with halogen lights and the structure was superb, Everything seems in order and the whole place also looks like a monitor room, There were lots of devices and tech machines in it which also made it looked like a science laboratory. But they weren't wearing any labcoats and they're also holding guns and pointing it at me, I might not know much about scientists but I doubt if they are always with guns and always ready to shoot anybody even a teenager. It only meant one thing... They ain't scientists.
"What were you thinking?" the lady who was with them asked Jason. "I don't know, Am so sorry Shirley" he said referring to the Lady, I could see he was angry at himself.
"You know sorry won't fix this!" she said placing her palm on her head, pacing back and forth. I think they forgot about me the moment Jason told them he was at fault, "Good Aki, You busybody always finds a way to make people Worry about you, Your family and now this people, Are you happy now?" I criticized myself within.
"We have to inform the boss" Said the last guy whose name I don't know yet. "Really?, he's going to freak out Michael!, And you of all people knows it doesn't always go well whenever he freaks out" Shirley stated and I wondered who their boss was.
"Um..uh excuse me..i wan-" I started saying until I was cut-off by Shirley. "Save your words girl, If you think we're letting you go after this then you are wrong, You've entered the wrong place" she said with a chilling voice. Sweats had already broke out from my forehead, As I was getting scared now. "Did she meant what she said, that I was going to be stucked here forever?" I thought as I swallowed hard. "I have to look for a way to get out" I thought even though it may sound impossible right now.
While the others were discussing, Michael went to make sure the whole place was secured once again, After doing that he walked towards me and pulled me by my right hand, "Please let me go?" I begged him quietly, "I won't ever come back here again" I continued. "It's not that easy as it seems" he said looking back at the others, "This place...You aren't supposed to be here at all" he told me as he made me sat on a chair beside a very large table.
They don't look so old, Probably in their late twenties I think. Michael would be around twenty-five or four, "But what are they doing here, what are they up to" I thought to myself.
A phone suddenly rang, "It's him" she said as her voice and composure suddenly became alerted, Their boss must be a very scary man, I could tell with the way they all became alerted. But my question is did Mr Steve knew that there is a very big and secret place under his house and workshop?.
My hands were getting sweaty, I was getting nervous and scared, "Screw you Aki" I cursed within, I wondered all the places my mom would have gone to looking for me now. "Yes she is right here with us sir" Shirley said to the caller on the phone which I assumed was their boss. "Yes sir" she said and turned to me when the call was disconnected. "He'll be here in a few minutes" she told the others while still staring at me with her sharp green eyes. "And you better prepare yourself Jason, Because you'll be getting an earful" she said with her focus still on me.
I couldn't help but pray that their Boss would be so kind to let me go. "Well I just hopes he is in a really good mood today" Simon spoke up, He seems like the oldest among them. "Yeah he may have been until now he's heard about this" Shirley said in return her eyes still never leaving mine for once. "Let's see what he's got to say" Michael murmured taking a sit and toying with his gun.
I was staring at the drink in my hand seriously blaming myself. They were all staring at me now and that added to my inferiority as I lowered my head and kept mute. Suddenly there was a sound coming from the elevator, A familiar one and I think it's the boss because as Soon as they heard they all stood upright like soldiers in the army getting ready to face whoever is coming.
When the elevator finally descended, The brick wall moved to the right just like it did for me. My eyes widened immediately when I saw who came out of the elevator, It was Mr Steve!, "Mr Steve??" I just couldn't believe it as I stood up from where I was sitting. His Expression when he saw me was no different as we both stared at each other in surprise.
"Akira?!" he called my name in surprise. "You know her??" Shirley asked Mr Steve unbelievingly, "Yes I do...What are you doing here Aki?" he questioned me.
"I was looking for you...I wanted to give you this". I said showing him the canned drink in my hand, "But when I found the door to your apartment and workshop locked I decided to head home but somehow I figured this place out... And here I am. I narrated everything to them.
"But why would you go to that extent just because you wanted to give him that?, What if we hadn't hesitated and shot you on the spot!" Shirley asked and when I was about to talk, Mr Steve spoke up for me. "She wanted to return a favor, I uh... I did her a small favor, which she wanted to repay and I guess that's why she's here."
"Even though she's not supposed to" he added staring at Jason who in turn was avoiding his gaze.
"She's the girl from that day?, the one we rescued?" Simon spoke up, "Yes she is" he replied. "What did you rescue her from?" Michael asked inquisitively. "Umm... Bullying no big thing, I just can't believe she'd come back" he said.
I wasn't even paying attention to the whole 'how'd you know each other' conversation again, I was busy wrapping my head around the fact that Mr Steve is the CEO or rather the boss of a bad place with bad people who had guns!. So he was a dangerous person after all.
