Chereads / The Only Good Orc is a Half-Orc / Chapter 98 - The Hunter - Part 1

Chapter 98 - The Hunter - Part 1

As the morning sun rose in the sky, light peered through the gap in the fabric of the tent. Small beams trickled over the occupants, creating a sparkling pattern across the brown chest of the fearsome *cough* yet gentle half-orc that slowly arose from her sleep.

Small groans arose from her lips, as waking up felt like the last thing she wanted to do. So, very reluctantly, she pulled herself away from the comfort that sleep and the night before had given her.

As her eyes adjusted and her awareness of her surroundings kicked in, she felt a slight pressure on her chest.

Looking down, she was rewarded with the sight of long blond hair pooling across and down her chest, several strands having slipped between her assets as she and Ameril had shifted during their sleep.

It was a picturesque sight, where her hair truly stood out against the brown background that was Olivia's skin tone.

As she watched her, Ameril slowly shifted in her sleep, turning her head towards Olivia, bringing a lovely and adorably peaceful sleeping face into view. She truly looked content.

The light peering in through the tent ended up shining across her face, dancing as it did. While again adding to the sight that was before Olivia, it ended up waking the sleeping beauty.

"Umm,"

The response to the light bringing her out of her slumber was a small moan of annoyance along with the crinkling of her nose.

But while she may have willed whatever had caused her to stir, that did not stop the beams from casting their gaze over her once again, ending with them achieving their goal of waking the girl.

"Umm. What did I *yawn*…sleep on." She said as she slowly rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "It's firmer than a pillow, but I feel so *yawn* well rested."

Olivia wasn't sure how she was well rested when she kept yawning, but who was she to argue. It was nice to know that her body had helped her sleep, and likely not just from being a place to rest her head.

"Good morning."

"Good morn-"

Ameril froze. Still in her delirious sleepy state she was a little confused as to who would be in her bed.

But as the world around her came back into focus, she looked down and saw what her 'pillow' had been. That is when it all came flooding back to her, causing quite a shade of red to appear on her cheeks.

"I-, errr. Good morning." She managed to say as she turned to look away from the girl she had spent the night with.

"Are you okay? I take it you can recall what happened last night."

"Yes, I am fine. And yes, I can recall all that we…did."

"Just to make sure. Are you fine with it?"

She felt a little silly asking, but given her inexperience, even with all that she did last night, it was possible the bravado had come from seeing her with Lyrika, feeling a need to one-up her that made things happen. So, she wanted to make sure that she didn't regret her first experience…with a Half-Orc no less.

Ameril quickly turned to look at Olivia, and spoke without pause. She wanted to be sure that there was no miscommunication about all this.

"Yes. I have no regrets about what happened. I also…I also hope that it can happen again sometime." She said in a polite and hopeful tone.

Olivia was just about to reply that she would love to relive the experience, even move on to something more, should Ameril want it. But before she could, a voice rang out from outside the tent.

"You will have to get in line first."

Both of the girls froze for a moment, before Olivia opened up the flap to the tent and peered outside. Sitting at the campfire was Lyrika and Philly, both getting started on breakfast. It had been Lyrika with her superb hearing that had spoken.

"She had you this time. Next time it will be me." Lyrika replied as she looked over at the two heads poking out the tent, with a face that said she was not taking no for an answer.

They both pulled back into the tent without answering. It truly felt like there was no need for an answer, given how adamant she had been. So, putting that to the side, they got dressed and headed out to join the rest of their party.

Having eaten, packed up, played with Felixia and then gotten ready for the day, they headed over to the Umbrea to mount up.

Before they all set off, Olivia beckoned Felixia over in order to put it into the basket. As she did though, she found that the basket had finally outlived its usefulness. Felixia seemingly had had a growth spurt overnight, meaning she hardly fit into the thing. Had they tried to transport the Zentora like that, had this been Earth, someone would have called animal cruelty on her.

So, it would seem that Felixia was now a free-roaming Zentora. Within reason though.

Olivia considered Felixia a teenager or adolescent given its age and size, so she was sure that leaving Felixia to its own devices would result in it being injured by something. The fighting capabilities that the adult Zentora had were starting to show, but not having needed to defend itself before, she feared for its safety.

Plus, she was sure that travelling on the Umbrea would be much faster than Felixia could travel on its lonesome.

So, Felixia was regaled to the next best thing.

Sitting on Olivia's lap.

Which ended up being well received by the Zentora, if the purring sounds and the curing up into a very restful state was anything to go on.

'We might need to let Felixia do its own thing going forward. I imagine us doing everything for it is going to cause problems.'

While this concern rattled around in her head, wondering if they could do something about it during their next rest, the group finally set off towards the village the new chief had possibly come from.

The trip to the village had so far been uneventful.

The landscape was pretty sparse, mainly being open plains, so any dangers could be seen before they became a problem.

It was however hilly in areas, so there was some danger there. It was possible that people or animals could wait in ambush behind them. But, while remaining on guard around problem spots, nothing had happened yet.

Conversation between the group had also been slow.

No one really wanted to talk about what had been said last night. It was still fresh in their minds how the girls, minus Philly, had decided to…for lack of a better word, share Olivia, and be the start of her harem.

Of which Olivia, still adamantly refused that what they had was such a thing. Two girls liking her hardly consisted of a harem.

No matter the case, it was forming into something, this relationship between them. Olivia only hoped that it wouldn't cause any friction between them.

The problem was that she could already see something along those lines between Lyrika and Ameril. With what she said in the morning, and the odd looks she had been sending Ameril's way, it was clear Lyrika wasn't as completely on board as she had said last night. It's possible with the situation they had been caught in and everything that had happened so suddenly, she didn't fully think things through or just went for the easiest option.

But while she wasn't too enthused about it, she wasn't outright going against it. She had made some good points before. The way she was, having saved each of the girls and treated them with respect was just common sense for her, but for them, they truly appreciated it. Obviously.

Then there was her stamina, which eventually, Lyrika would not be able to keep up with. And if the urges that Orcs and Goblins normally deal with progressed, only being with one girl might cause more harm than pleasure.

It's because of all of that, that Lyrika was conflicted. The only way she is going to figure things out, is with time.

Then there was how Ameril actually felt about it. She was probably still a little high on the feeling, it being her first time performing such sexual acts, and with someone she had feelings for. Olivia had no idea how she would feel when that wore off and she realised she was now sharing the person she liked.

But, like with Lyrika, only time would tell how she felt.

As it got to midday, they decided to take a break and have some lunch.

They also had to groom the Umbrea, feed and give them water, as well as do the same for Felixia.

When it came to Felixia though, things went a little different to normal.

With Felixia now roaming about, it explored the area around them, all the while keeping within eyesight of them which the girls were thankful for. None of them wanted to see Felixia head off and get hurt.

But then when it came to actually eating, Olivia called Felixia over and placed some of the remaining meat they had on the floor.

Once Felixia reached them, rather than just gobble it up, Felixia started to play with it's food. Pawing at it, then rolling around, even going so far as to try and take a stab at it with its tail. But when the piece of meat didn't move, Felixia practically shrugged and then walked away, stunning the group.

"Well, that's…odd," Lyrika said, stating the obvious. "What now?"

"Hunting"

All of them turned to Philly who slowly pulled her nose out of her book.

"It wants to hunt. Just taking scraps isn't enjoyable for it anymore."

Olivia looked over at Felixia who was wandering around, looking all around as if searching for something.

It was very clear what they were going to be doing next.

It was time to teach Felixia how to hunt.
