I took a moment to pause and consider what I had learned. I took a look at the document and started to consider the identity of the true perpetrator of the incidents.
There are two different pieces of information in the paper. On the notes, one was capitalized, and the other was written in small letters.
The capitalized is followed by numbers, while the other is followed by a message.
[EIGHT, ONE, ONE, TEN, ONE, THREE, ONE, SEVEN, FOUR, ZERO, FOUR, EIGHT, THREE.]
[find the box jack, Amelie. Anderson.]
I mentally laughed. Upon reflection, I realize that I was unknowingly led to this situation. Right now, I'm so perplexed that my head is starting to hurt. My mind started to wonder about some things.
Is the box mentioned in the notes the one I took from the professor, as stated? So the professor is to blame, right? Amelie seems to be so certain that I will look for her and even leave a letter for me, but why is that? When I consider it, everything about it seems weird.
I want to open the box, but I can't let myself get comfortable since I'm not sure what will happen if I do. There is a good likelihood that this box is also cursed if the professor was.
'I might harm my family if I open this box, so I'll do it tomorrow.'
Jack's thinking became so agitated that his ideas kept popping into his head. Even though he is exhausted, Jack seems to have trouble staying awake the entire night. He was awake all night.
Jack gets up early, although he didn't get much sleep to begin with. Because of his job, he headed to the bar. He entered and observed Mr. Moligans serving the three diners at the table. Jack assumed they were the people he had run into yesterday at the pub's entrance.
Jack groaned in his head, 'I don't want to get connected with these folks.'
He continues to walk toward the workplace where he and Mr. Arlo were working, but Mr. Moligans stops him by calling out to him.
Mr. Moligans said to Jack, "Oy Jack! Let me introduce you to my customer."
Jack's face of confusion is directed at him.
"Really, I have job to do. You don't have to." Jack spoke emotionlessly. The events in my life have already worn down my intellect. I don't need to add anything further to my plate.
"This Sir wants to meet you, so hurry up." Mr. Moligans insisted.
"Me? Why?"
Jack pondered, 'For Pete's Sake, why do I keep attracting the weird individuals these days.'
I approached the table where three people were seated.
'Let's simply move on from this.' Jack thought to himself.
"My name is Jack, and I work here. Hello, sir and ma'am. Nice to meet you." Jack introduced himself to the three.
Jack took a peek at the three people. The woman is stunning, but there seems to be a knightly atmosphere surrounding her. The man on the other hand has a soft glance that gives him a noble appearance. And finally, this one appears to have been staring at me ever since he became aware of my presence. He is incredibly attractive, youthful, and has blonde hair.
'Is it just me, or does that guy seem to be surrounded by a surging light? Do I actually see it now, or is it all in my head? 'Jack thought.
"I'm sorry to trouble you, Jack, but hello. This is Bernd and Maliah, and I'm Severous. Nice to meet you as well." Severous extended his hand for a handshake and introduced himself to Jack.
Before receiving it, Jack took a moment to examine his hand.
"Ahh!" When Jack accepted his handshake, he felt something sting his hand, which surprised him. He appears to be astonished as well as he looks at Severous with a furrowed brow.
"I'm really sorry, Jack. Are you alright?"Severous enquired anxiously.
"Yes, I'm all right. Just startled, that's all." Jack replied.
Jack is further bewildered by the suspicious looks the other two give him.
'What's the matter with them.'
'They are not a typical individual. They are all quite strong.' Knave commented.
"I'd better go, sir; I still have work to do." Jack bowed and walked out without waiting for a reply.
Severous looked back at Jack as he walked away from the table with a perplexed expression.
'Whoa, what was that? He is not a normal kid, as assumed.'
"Are you okay, Sir Severous?" Bernd worriedly asked me.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"That boy appears to be a beyonder." Maliah muttered.
"Yeah, I agree with it. However, how did he get to be one?" Bernd replied.
"He is special, I immediately thought when I saw him. Anyway, let's get moving because there is still work for us to accomplish in this city."
"I still have to track down the owner of this blessed object and invite him to the church," Severous said to himself.
…
Jack headed to the pub after ending his work, when he found the detective waiting for him.
Jack, are you ready to leave yet?"
"Yep. Where are we going?"
"I need your help getting to Mitrol street down in the slum because I have a commission to fulfill."
"All I have to do is lead you there, Favian?" jack asked.
"Yes, I'll take care of everything."
"Alright."
The detective was led by Jack until they arrived at the run-down apartment.
"All right, give me 30 minutes to get here. You are free to return home if I didn't return at that moment."
Jack simply nodded without responding.
'Oh, hell yeah. If it's risky, I'm not staying here.' Jack mused but kept his thoughts to himself.
Jack observed Favian enter the apartment. Ten minutes after the detective entered the flat, Jack sensed something terrifying inside and heard a rumbling wild animal roar.
'What in the world?' Jack trembled.
'Umbra, do you know what is happening in there?'
'I'm not sure, Master. However, I can investigate it inside.' Umbra replied.
'No, Forget it.' Jack was hesitant to take on this situation.
'I already have so many troubles; I don't need any more,'
'Alright, master.'
'I really hope Favian is okay because if not, that frightening beast will turn on me.'
After over 30 minutes, the energy in the apartment started to fade, and Jack noticed the detective leaving as if nothing had happened. Since he doesn't have a plan to get involved, Jack simply brushed it off. He is merely here to guide the detective.
"Are you done?" Jack asked.
"Yes, here 50 mora. It's getting late, so let's head back."
"Yes."
Having led the detective out of the slum. Jack bid Favian farewell.
"All right, I'm grateful for today. When I need you, I'll look for you."
"Alright."
Jack avoided the crowds by walking to the adjacent woodland rather than returning home.
"It's time to open the box."
