~CASSELBA'S POV
LIFTING ROBOTICALLY OFF CADEN, I stand to my feet. My legs hit the floors of his Office, feet landing bare on a plush lilac carpet. I'd been sitting in his lap following our tumble on his desk. But as I carefully rise, the enveloping heat of his body immediately disappears. I miss it but I don't lean back.
Rather, I walk across the floor to my shirt now awkwardly hanging off the edge of his crystal mirror of a desk. Grabbing the white silk, I draw it over my hands, smoothing down the sleeves.
"Casselba, please say something."
I hear Caden's voice but I keep on smoothening my shirt.
"Casselba?" He growls this time.
Since I'm slightly facing away from him, it's through my peripheral vision that I see him also rise to his feet from the wall-side sofa. He reaches me in moments.
Two warm hands settle on my shoulders and he rubs tenderly.
