~CASSELBA'S POV
"OF COURSE WE'RE WAITING!" His baritone booms out from the receiver. I press the phone tighter to my ear, chuckling to myself.
'Oh, Caden!' I nearly sigh but bite down on it at the last second. His voice hangs worried, sounding out clearly from the phone, conveying the veracity behind it.
Clarence had left this morning, straight for the airport to pick up her kids. I had no idea when next I was going to see her but last night made it all worth it. She had left a mark on me. Quite literally. A peach-colored nick peeks out the collar of my shirt even as I make my way to my car.
At Clarence's exit, I decided I'd made the Hallow males wait enough. It was time to see my mates once more. Luckily, the weather is fairly nice as I move round my house to the garage. Pale blue bricks mark the path I take.
