~CASSELBA'S POV
MANY SAY LOVE BEGINS with the eyes. I tend to agree. While some may say it takes just a moment to feel it, and others, over the course of many years, I don't think a standard scale has ever being put on loving. It just happens. It's uncontrollable, mind-blowing and addictive. And given the chance, it could spin things as comely and wishly as the rainbow.
However, in this moment with Clarence, I too do believe it starts from the eyes.
"I want to see all of you," she says, kneeling over me. Her voice is pure and her hands are an angel's pillow.
But those lovely eyes of hers, they're darker than they'd ever been. Rings of ash with a deep center of emerald. As one inclined to books, I've a pretty good way of describing things, but when it comes to Clarence, somehow—in this utterly dazzling, indefinable way, I loose that sense to make her into words.
