Graces POV:
When Faith got hit I ran to her, her scream radiated pain, I haven't heard her scream like that since she got stabbed in the back right after mom had died. I wanted her to stay so I could make sure she was okay but she was too stubborn, she leaped through the window with no fear of failure and began to fight the gargoyle again.
As she flew into the woods I hoped and prayed she'd come back unharmed. I ran down to the place she had gone into the woods but she still hadn't come back but I saw the gargoyle. Dominic ran out of the school and threw this weird-looking knife at me saying to stab the gargoyle in the heart to kill him.
Luckily not too far after the gargoyle Faith came out of the woods, she used her magic to keep the gargoyle as still as possible allowing me to stab him through the heart. As the gargoyle turned into ash I looked over to Faith to celebrate but instead of seeing a happy face, I saw her falling to the ground.
When I tried to listen to her heartbeat it had slowed way down, it was about to stop. As she fell I ran to her trying to break her landing but I was too late, she had hit the ground and I heard thousands of cracks and another horrible scream, a horrible ear-shattering scream. Faith had just broken so many bones and when I tried to listen to her heartbeat again there was nothing but silence.
I screamed and ran faster to her. "FAITH! NO!" I screamed while sliding on my knees toward her. "FAITH GET UP! PLEASE, YOU CAN'T GO!"
I laid my head down on hers crying trying to get her to wake up.
"Faith, please just wake up. You can't leave me again... last time you almost didn't come back."
I sat there with my head on hers crying feeling helpless while my sister lay there with no heartbeat. People called my name but at the moment those people seemed to be nothing but a mere inconvenience. I felt someone's hand on my back and when I looked up it was Harrison trying to comfort me. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes, he looked back with compassion and concern and I broke down into his arms.
"What if she doesn't come back this time?" I say crying in Harrison's arms.
"She's always come back in the past."
"You know it gets harder every time she goes back."
"She won't leave you here alone."
"Even if she does come back her strength and power will be so low she's going to have to heal all her wounds and broken bones by herself because her magic won't be able to do it for her, she'll be in agonizing pain."
I got up and then looked back at Faith. I wiped my tears and watched as Harrison and Dominic picked up Faith, I followed them as they took her to our room and laid her down on her bed. Once they had laid her down they both gave me a hug and left, when they were gone I sat next to Faith and grabbed her hand hoping she would find her way back.
"Faith, if you can hear me please come back. I need you I can't lose you like we lost mom and dad, your all I have left and if you go I wouldn't be able to survive." I sighed "Just come back."
I sat there with her for thirty minutes holding her hand and listening for her heartbeat to come back but I heard nothing but silence. I got up and laid a blanket over Faith then walked out of our room to get some food, as I walked past people and they stared, news travels too fast around here. I walked into the kitchen where Jamie was throwing plates with her magic, I ducked as a knife flew towards my head.
"Aye! Watch where you throw those things!" I yelled as I got back up.
"Maybe you should watch where you walk!" Jamie retorted.
"I'm sorry but when I walk into a kitchen I don't plan on getting a knife thrown at my face." I said with an annoyed tone. "Plus shouldn't you be with Raphael drooling all over him?"
"I messed things up with him, shouldn't you be with your dead sister?"
"She's not dead," or at least I hope not. "She's just trying to find her way back."
"Sounds pretty dead to me."
"Look she's not dead, she just needs to find her body in the underworld so she can get back That's all."
"Whatever, I have things to do." She said as she started to clean up the mess she had made.
You know what I'm not hungry anymore, I walked out of the kitchen and decided to go for a walk. As I was walking through the woods I heard footsteps coming closer to me and in an act to stay away from another fight I ripped off my clothes and shifted into a wolf and ran away from where I was at.
As I ran I couldn't stop thinking about who or what was walking toward me. I ran back to the school where normally would have howled to get Faith's attention so she could bring me some clothes but lucky me, she's a little busy not breathing. So I began to walk around avoiding people so they didn't freak out about the random wolf walking around campus.
As I was walking I saw an open door leading straight to a staircase that lead to our dorm rooms. I quietly walked through the door and up the stairs to my dorm but of course, the door was locked. I had to go to the next 'best' option which was going to the closest thing I had to a friend, Jackson.
I continued to walk down the hall tell I reached Jackson and Jamie's room and lucky for me the door wasn't locked, I walked in and saw Jackson sitting on her bed reading I nudged the door closed and from behind me, I heard his soft voice.
"Jamie?" Then he must have looked up, I heard him gasp "Grace?!" he said just short of a yell. I nodded my head.
"Oh, do you need something to cover up? Give me a second" he said as he walked to his dresser and pulled out a blanket. "Here."
He set the blanket down in front of me and turned around when, he turned around and changed back and wrapped myself in the blanket.
"Okay, you can turn around now." I said while wiping my face a bit. "Are you okay?" He asked in a concerned tone.
"Yes I'm fine, and thanks you're a lifesaver. Without Faith to be there to get me extra clothes it puts me in a situation."
"Anytime. How's Faith doing?"
"I don't know, I can't hear her heartbeat or feel her presence like I used to. Before it was like I could connect with her but now it's like there's nothing there."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"I wish I knew, she needs to come back though because I couldn't handle it if she left."
"I'm here for you if you need me."
"Thanks Jackson. I'm going to head back and check on Faith."
"Okay, I'll come and visit later to check in on her and you."
"You don't have to do that."
"I don't, but I want to. Now go back to your sister."
"I will, thanks again. Bye."
"Bye."
I walked out of the room and back to mine. When I got in after I got the key from the spot Faith and I normally hide it, when I got in a half-expected Faith to have moved or be awake but she hadn't moved an inch. I sat next to her and held her hand again and a tear rolled down my cheek.

Faiths POV
"FINISH ME!" I yelled as she held me in a chokehold.
