"Where are we going?"
Wang Tao turned and looked over at Zhou Jian. Right now, the Zion was taking the younger boy somewhere. He wasn't divulging his plans to the younger boy, leaving him confused.
Shaking his head a bit, Zhou Jian brought a finger to his lips and so Wang Tao dropped it. The Celestial trusted that it wouldn't be anything bad but he was still a bit upset that the other wouldn't talk.
The purple eyes softened watching the younger boy pout. Reaching out, Zhou Jian poked the puffed up cheek teasingly to placate him. In moments, Wang Tao forgot about it and scooted back over to the Zion.
Half an hour passed before the vehicle came to a stop and the two stepped out as Wang Tao took in his surroundings.
"An amusement park?"
"Mm, the only time you've gone was with Xiao Shuang but we didn't try any rides then so now's your chance…Ready?"
"Mm-hmm."
Smiling, Zhou Jian took Wang Tao's hand in his and led the boy through the gates. Passing around the park, the chatter of the crowds and the music created an exciting mood. The silver eyes sparkled as they darted around, taking in and analyzing every detail possible.
"What's that one?"
Pointing, the Celestial questioned.
Following the pointer, Zhou Jian noticed a ride. Lifelike but stationery animals on poles bounced around, encircling the large trunk in the center. A tune played as it spun, carrying the people there for a ride.
"That's a Carousel. Wanna try?"
Seeing the other nod, Zhou Jian led him towards the entrance and handed in their tickets before they approached the carousel which was elevated a few feet above ground. Stepping up, the Zion lifted the Celestial on before asking,
"Which one?"
Wang Tao looked around carefully. There were many different kinds from horses to carriages. His eyes wandered a bit before catching sight of a dragon. Its scales were a beautiful sea blue which reminded him of Zhou Shuang.
"Over there, the dragon."
Staring at it for a moment, the older boy smiled a bit before the two went over. Putting his hands on the slim waist, he lifted Wang Tao onto the figure.
Seated, a smile bloomed on Wang Tao's face. He obviously didn't need help but he quite liked it when the Zion cared for him like this. It made him feel spoiled and Wang Tao wished that it would continue and possibly even go further.
Looking into the purple eyes, a warm feeling arose. The Celestial leaned forward and planted a light kiss on the Zion's cheek. Zhou Jian had frozen for a second but quickly snapped out of it, his gaze softening further as he watched the small flushed ears.
Wang Tao was always like that, his actions getting bolder and bolder but he blushed so much that one would never imagine him to be so proactive if they only looked at his face.
It was an incredibly adorable side which the Zion loved dearly. If it wasn't for the fact that the ride was about to start he may have peppered the others face in kisses.
Shaking his head slightly, he moved over to a nearby ride and hopped on. The next moment, a tune played as the Carousel gradually began to turn, speeding up as time went by.
One hand holding the pole, the silver eyes watched as blurs of colors rushed across his view as the ride went to dizzying speeds. The up and down of his dragon added a nice touch to the speed letting the Celestial enjoy it.
Soon, it came to a stop and Wang Tao felt a sliver of disappointment. Shaking it off, he stayed seated and looked over at the Zion approaching. Zhou Jian brought his little cat down before they exited and continued their tour around the amusement park.
It didn't take long before Wang Tao's attention was drawn to other rides, like plane rides, trains and roller coasters.
"Hungry."
Zhou Jian turned to look at the Celestial. The boy was rubbing his tummy sullenly as he stared back at him. Silver eyes shined expectantly and something stirred inside the Zion.
Stifling a laugh, he took the other to get some food.
A while later, the two were seated with a large meal before them. Eyes twinkling, Wang Tao reached out to eat but then stopped abruptly. Retracting his hand, his cheeks flushed as he hesitated on saying something.
Confusion flickered across the Zhou Jian's face. However, only a second passed before he broke out into a smile. A doting expression showed on his face as he silently picked up a fry. A bit embarrassed, Wang Tao munched on the food he was fed, joy bubbling within.
Noticing that the Zion wasn't eating much, the Celestial started to feed him as well. It took a moment to recover from the surprise before the Zion smiled and opened his mouth. Minutes later, they finished up their meal and Wang Tao leaned back to allow his full stomach to settle.
"A Tao."
"Mm?"
"Don't be so shy next time. I'd love to…Actually, you won't have to ask next time."
"..."
Unsure of what to say, the Celestial stayed silent but his happiness couldn't be hidden. He never imagined someone as cold as him could ever enjoy being spoiled to this extent.
Lowering his head, he stared at his fidgeting fingers. Wang Tao paused when he felt a warm hand run through his hair and he looked up. Meeting the caring gaze, his heart started beating wildly.
"L-lets go."
Calming himself, Wang Tao stood and pulled Zhou Jian up and they continued their adventure. After walking for a while, they soon came to some game booths.
"What about that one?"
Wang Tao turned to look and spotted a basketball booth a distance away. Excited, he hurried over and was greeted by the worker. After paying, they grabbed their basketball to begin shooting.
To sum up the experience, it was a massacre. One which the two enjoyed very much.
Standing a distance away, they shot with perfect form. The balls made graceful curves before swishing through the baskets. One after another, they shot baskets and one won the game in record time. Spectators stared in shock, having gathered to watch the exhibition of skill.
The stand worker was stunned and it took a moment after the teenagers were done for him to recover. A broad smile on his face, the stand worker approached them and praised enthusiastically.
"W-wow, I've never seen such…such great skill. You guys can choose anything you'd like."
"Anything?"
"Mm-hmm "
Getting the affirmative, Zhou Jian observed the prizes carefully. There were toys, headbands, teddy bears and more. He shifted his gaze to the Celestial to get his opinion on it.
Silver eyes looked curiously at all the gifts before landing on two. A huge teddy bear and a pair of black bands. The bear looked quite soft and cuddly, and it reminded the Celestial of something from years ago. However, he kind of hoped he could convince the Zion to wear the bands with him, like couples bracelets.
Perplexed, he scrunched his brows tightly as he stared in silence. Noticing Wang Tao's situation, Zhou Jian traced the boy's gaze to the two items.
"I'll take the bear. He'll take those black bands."
"Why? Don't you want anything?"
Wang Tao was surprised. It wasn't too much of a shock that the other took note of his gaze but did the older boy know why he wanted the bands?
"A Jian-"
"It's okay, I want them too."
Just as he was going to ask for clarification, the black haired boy took the pack and opened it. Gently holding Wang Tao's pale hand, he slipped on one band before putting on his.
Eyes wide, he looked up at the Zion but swallowed his words seeing the sincerity in those eyes. It was like his heart was doused in honey the next moment. Brightly smiling, he admired the band on his wrist. It was simply a plain black yet it was suddenly so special to him.
[ When we go home, I'll engrave his name on mine…Maybe he'll let me put my name on his? ]
With an indulgent look, Zhou Jian watched the boy who was on cloud nine as he took the teddy bear from the stand worker. Giving his thanks, he took the cool hand in his and led the boy away.
"Where are we going next?"
Curious, Wang Tao glanced at the Zion. His left arm held his bear tightly as he happily swung their clasped hands back and forth. With a smile on his face, the Zion looked up at the sky. Orange, blue, purple and pink were blended, so exquisite that one would think that it was the work of God himself.
An outline of a bird could be seen gliding across the waves of fluff merrily as the whispers and chatters of the crowds filled their ears. A peace filled his heart as Zhou Jian responded in a low voice,
"The Ferris Wheel."
