Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

PSYCHE is currently in the process of fixing the things inside her locker when suddenly, Valerie appears out of nowhere with her devilish grin.

"Oh hey there, miss Campus Crush. Where is your boyfriend?" She asked, but Psyche completely ignored her like dead air.

Some students inside the locker room are now watching the little scene happening as if they are waiting for something to happen. Almost all of the students in the school know who Valerie is and who Psyche is. And as expected, the majority goes with Psyche.

Valerie loves to tease Psyche in every way, and it satisfies her whenever she makes her annoyed and pissed. She was the only hater of Psyche who dared to show her hatred behind the fact that some students hated Psyche secretly out of insecurity, but they kept quiet because of her family's influence.

"What do you think would happen?"

"I am waiting for Psyche to lose her temper."

"Maybe she won't. She is so mature she can ignore an insecure and immature person like Valerie."

Gossips are circulated in the locker room while they watch the little scene that the two most popular girls in the school are making.

Valerie chuckled after realizing that Psyche was not interested in her nonsense at all, and instead of stopping, she took it as a challenge.

"Look who's not responding. Are you deaf? Maybe yes. And you are also blind. So blind to not see that Hacov is losing his interest in you already," she said, teasing, and that was it.

Psyche slammed her locker door so hard and faced Valerie with her left eyebrow raised. People watching them gasped, as if they were watching the climax part of the movie.

"Who's going to believe you, Valerie? An opinion coming from someone like you is not counted at all. You are just a piece of shit, full of nonsense and jealousy. Get a life, will you?" Psyche said, full of confidence as ever, and rolled her eyes at Valerie before walking away.

"Woah!"

"I knew it. Psyche will lose her temper. Valerie deserves it, after all."

"Oh my gosh, I didn't expect that!"

Valerie rolled her eyes, but she knew she was the one who had made the stupid move between them. She felt humiliated but rolled her eyes at everybody who gossiped behind her, pretending that she didn't care.

Psyche felt like having a thousand knives stabbing her chest because of what Valerie said. Is it true? Why do other people also notice her suspicions towards Hacov? How did they know? Can't they keep the secret anymore? Are they too obvious now?

The entire campus knows that Hacov sprained his ankle yesterday, and the incident between Psyche and Valerie spread so fast in the air that it filled the whole school.

Psyche is walking down the hallway to the gymnasium to practice her team's cheerleading stunts, and there are those fake friends of hers waiting at the entrance of the hall, faking their concern.

"Oh my gosh, Psyche! Why didn't you call us? We should have backed you up from that Valerie!" Amanda said, exaggeratingly.

Psyche wanted to roll her eyes, but she hid it. She knows Amanda has a huge crush on Hacov and, heaven knows, snakes are getting closer to their prey calmly before attacking it.

"Don't worry. I can handle myself. It's just a little argument and there's no big deal about it," she calmly said, and went inside the gymnasium. Amanda and her minions followed her inside with their bottle of cold water for Psyche after practice. They treat Psyche like a queen, but she knows they are doing it on purpose.

All of the cheerleaders prepared as Psyche signaled them all. She was a consistent and very responsible cheerleading captain, and no one ever replaced her in the entire period of their batch's being a high school.

"Line up, ladies! Come on!" She shouted while clapping her hands loudly.

There are also boys watching the cheerleaders while practicing. Some of them are purposefully watching Psyche and fantasizing about her because of her beauty and hotness when she is in her cheerleading uniform.

They did almost an hour of practice and decided to end it with a final round. After the practice, Amanda and her minions approached her and handed her cold water, which she instantly took from them because she was honestly tired and exhausted.

"Psyche, do you want us to accompany you?" Amanda said with a smile.

Psyche stopped drinking and looked at her with a confused look while she closed the bottle of water. "To where?" She asked.

"We were thinking that, of course, you are going to visit Hacov because he got a sprain on his ankle, right? We can go with you! Actually, we have brought some snacks lately, so we have something to give to him. What do you think?" Amanda said confidently, and Psyche smiled at them, but she knew deep inside she was irritated at these girls.

"Is that really important?" she asked.

"Not really! But of course, we, as your friends and number one supporters, are just making a little effort to show how much we support and adore you both! Right, girls?" She said, and her minions agreed with her.

Tss. As if they got a chance to be noticed by Hacov. They are trying a lot, and Psyche is confident enough that she is the only one that Hacov wants, even if there are a lot of bitches around who want to hook up with him.

"Okay, you can come with me!" Psyche said with the curiosity of what might possibly happen later.

Amanda and her minions giggled as they walked with Psyche through the garage where her pink Mercedes-Benz is parked.

"Oopssie! One, two, three, four, five, six, and seven. Oh my gosh, we are a lot! We won't fit inside Psyche's car. You two, you deserve to be left behind. Adios!" Amanda hopped inside Psyche's car without even asking permission first, after she told two of her minions to be left behind because Psyche's car only has a seating capacity of five people.

"Well, why don't you come out of my car first, Amanda, and all of you can wait here until my driver arrives. All of you are surely going to fit into Mang Roberto's SUV," Psyche said, and Amanda's dismay couldn't be hidden from her, but she still faked her smile.

"Hahaha! Of course, that would be a great idea! Take care, Psyche! Drive safely! Mwah!" Amanda awkwardly said while waving her hands and blowing a kiss to the pink Mercedes-Benz that she failed to ride.

"Ugh, that's embarrassing." One of her minions commented.

"Shut up, bitch!"
